Morning you all. Joe thats sounds painful but I got a story that should make you all laugh at the sheer stupidity.

Me and my friends were hanging out at my place when I said to my buddy "Dude I will give you a shotgun shell IF you put the butt of the shotgun to your *****, load the shot gun and pull the trigger." The idiot tried it with my Mossberg 500 youth shotgun with a 3in mag in the chamber. He pulled the trigger and was down instantly. I still can't believe he did that, ON HIS OWN ACCORD oh and all of us were stone cold sober.

Good morning everyone. Taking care of Dallas this morniong. We had to make another run to the vet as her condition worsened during the week. Turns out that along with the problem in her paw, she also has a spinal cord injury (they do not know why) and she is having trouble with her right legs. Needless to say I am worried. They put her on some anti inflammatory meds, a pain killer and told us to give her another week. This morning she is a little more sure footed and even went outside and explored the yard for a little while. Right now she is laying at my feet, sleeping.

Jacob, man, be careful with stuff like that. That's how people get accidentally shot. I know for a fact. I have been to funerals for two different friends that were playing around with guns and were killed. Dead, never came back.

Be careful bro.

Me neither. No craziness around the family jewels.

Thanks, Neil. She really is my best friend and we have been through a lot together. I love Dallas like she was one of my kids.

The Aryan Brotherhood is going to tax his @ss for the rest of his life. It's either that or it will sound like a test bench at a toilet bowl plunger factory in his cell every night..

Thanks, Jeremy. Today she looks better. We're going to trust the vet, do exactly as he says and just baby her.

I am thankful also. Those kinds of activities can go south in a hurry. I have a friend that was playing around with a 12 gauge with his brother and he accidentally shot him in the face. The little brother died and the other has never been the same.

Stitch nuts -
Jacob you were fortunate that nobody was hurt.
I have a bullet wound right through the arch of my foot from many years ago.
I was showing my step daughter how to shoot a .22 rifle. She was trying to be careful, but I wasn't being diligent enough on safety. I forgot to tell her to never put her finger on the trigger until ready to fire. The gun went off and that .22 LR went right through my foot. It felt like a laser beam was going right through.
I was very fortunate that nothing more serious happened. No broken bones from that and it went right through behind my toes from top to bottom at a 45 degree angle.

Wow Dan, that smarts. I once shot myself in the foot with a nail gun held at hip height, I had disabled the safety in favor of more speed out of the gun. It was about 20 below zero and I was standing on the subfloor of a house I was framing and shooting the chit with other carpenters. For some dumb reason I pulled the trigger. That damn nail went right through my heavy duty boot and into my foot just below the ankle joint. I bent over and yanked the nail out and the blood pressure shot right out of that 16 penny nail hole and got me in the eye. I called it a day and went home. I was back to work the next day though.

I realize now how incredibly retarded the stunt was. Still everyone was standing far behind the retard with the gun and we were shooting into an open field. The idiot could have said 'no that would hurt like hell" and I would have left it at that. But he never backs down from anything. My rule is "don't hit other guys in the jewels because then they can't retaliate and return the pain."

nothing quite like the love of a lab...I know mine is absolutely relentless, takes a lot to get him down. I have seen him run 3 miles to the duck blind and still want to jump right in and swim. He's getting old enough now at 7 years to want a ride back though.
