I am sitting here in the jury pool room for the great city of Gilbert. I am way over dressed for this, I could have worn jeans and fit right in but no I had to wear heels, dress pants and a nice shirt. I am just glad that they have wifi!!
Sheldon- Did you have to have your ACl replaced? We have had 3 replaced in my family in the last year, fun fun.
I am sure I look a little strange if anyone can see what website I am on. Here I am in with my look smart glasses on, black berry on my lap also and I am on a truck website. LOL.
I'm not worried about doing it myself. Really all I'd probably need help with is getting that fan clutch off, i've watched the videos and how-to's and most directions put in there that most times it takes a couple people. That water pump is OEM, so I can't say that fan has ever been removed.
Mine I think was OEM so it did take some doing but I got it myself - but use the bear anyway!! LOL The biggest pain in the butt was putting the fan back on since you have to do the shroud at the same time - and there are tabs on the bottom of the shroud that keep it in place. Getting all that lined up by yourself is possible I'm sure, but the heck with that!

Yes, a picture would be priceless...
I'm usually called every 2 years as well. Never sat on a jury though.
Well looks like both trials are done and over with, one took a plea and the defendant didn't show for the other case. I am free to go for another 2 years!
One of the judges just came in, let's see if I get called.
Jury duty sucks ***. Right when I bought my house, Denver county called me in for duty. I filled out the required paperwork, stating that I no longer lived in that County. Two weeks later, Arapahoe County sent me a summons. Random selection my ***! I did what Cris is doing, you go into this big room and wait for hours and hours. I sat there for 6 hours and never even got called in to interview.

I got called in for one, it was a civil case, three girls were molested by their gym teacher, they said nothing for 4+years. When they came forward, the school fired the Gym teacher imediately. The Girls wanted to sue the school district for not doing enough to protect them..There were no previous incidents with this teacher...
I would have loved to have had an opertunity to "talk" to the gym teacher one on one, but I wasnt big on them sueing the school district.
Sheldon- Did you have to have your ACL replaced? We have had 3 replaced in my family in the last year, fun fun.
Yeah I did, I think im on about week 8 of recovery. The first little bit sucked, but was manageable.
Proud of myself though, my physio, and kinesiologist keep telling me I am 2-3 weeks ahead of where everyone else is at this point, and they cant believe how fast im healing and strengthining up.
Lisa I think mechanical engineer is the way to go. Sounds like your man has an interesting job. I would like to do something like that, but not in the oil patch since where I live currently is at least 3 hourish from the nearish "patch"

I have jury duty in November, 1st time though. Hopefully mine will go as smooth.
I would really like to get on a murder trial jury. A death penalty one at that. I might even be able to enjoy being sequestered, unless laptops were not allowed.

Well if you ever want to pick his brain about it, let me know. I'll set you two up. When you run out of railroad/engineering topics to discuss, I'm sure you can hit on the Simpsons for a while. I think I could stand in front of him nude and if the Simpsons are on, he'll tell me I make a better door than a window.

I don't think it is random either, Arapahoe saw you as fresh meat so they called you as soon as they could. This jury room wasn't that bad, there were tv's, free coffee and snacks, soda machine and most important Wifi.

Thats great about your recovery! My husband is 5 months post op with his surgery, he is waiting on his return to sports brace. Hope he doesn't trash the other one now.... My 14yo sister just had her done for the second time on Friday, she is still hurting pretty bad. They used her hamstring this time in hopes that her body wouldn't eat the donor ACL. I guess teen girls and ACL stuff is a hot topic in the sports med field right now, her doc talk to someone at NBC and they are going to do a story on my sister. They filmed her surgery and plan to follow her to some of her PT appt's also. Lets see if we get to see the monster on primetime, she is loving all the attention.

This was my first time going also. Everytime I was called before, I couldn't get a sitter for the kids or afford for Troy to take time off work. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, maybe that is because I was only there for 2 hours. LOL.

I am with you, Mark, a murder trial would be very intersting to sit on.

Mind if I ask how your hubby, and your sister tore theirs? Did your hubby get a cadavar (sp?) or a petuelluer (sp?)
I got the hamstring done, and I just used regular tylenol for a pain killer the whole time. I was pleasantly surprised at the little pain there was. Although there was some, had a little blood clot worry-week! Is your hubby still going to physio and whatnot?
I keep getting told i will mostly likely going to physio for 6 months, then my whole leg (knee, hamstring and all) will be about 90%. Supposed to take me another year or so to rebuild hte hamstring fully so I get 100% out of it.
I really got lucky I went to the doctor when i did. I actually worked (I do heavy physical oil field work) for a month with it completely tore. Boss wasnt happy when I told him I needed to go to the doctor either, but hey, its my body!!
Ive never been called in for jury duty. Im wondering if it is because I got a driving over .08 when i was 19?
