Ive got a craftsman 1/2 drive. It just wont grip the bits anymore. Im gonna try what steve told me about grinding 3 flat spots into the bit and seeing it thatll work. if not ima go buy a normal drill.
progress bishes Not much but the spring hangers are on for good and i got everything for the rear painted and ready to go in. Just need to put the gears back in and put my 1410 yoke on.
what did you paint the axle housing with? i'm going to try to make the crap i buy look at least semi decent on the new truck. no sense in leaving the axles all cruddy looking.
Frame is brush painted with black rustoleum. Everything else is spray bombed with rustoleum other than the pinion gaurd and diff cover. They are painted with OD green krylon.
what kind of prep? just wire wheel the **** out of it and wipe it down? or did you have primer anything? me and spray paint have disagreements on stuff, mainly sticking to frames.
the 250 was done up decent at one point in time. the frame was painted, but its starting to peel off. when i ditch the bed i'll try to clean it up as best as possible and coat it in something. do they carry that por 15 crap at the chain parts stores or do you have to order it?
Anyone ever use any of those lube locker diff cover gaskets? Seems they might be good but at like $40 each shipped seems kinda pricey. Especially when i need two of them for the 14b.
