So far i've concluded, cheeto is a turd burgler, he has six toes, wears rainbow socks, building the crew to haul barbie dolls, taking his time because he's buying food for his son/sisters kid. :P
There is a web site www.fordcummins.com. They make the necessary adapters and such for the install. Been a wile since I looked there but I think you can use some ford trans. ZF 5speed is one
Well I looked and don't see what would help him he has a cummins with getrag trans and wants to use an NP205 ford divorced case. I searched a few places and none offer an adapter I could find sure there out there some where.
did not know he had that trans. maybe i should go through the entire thread and read everything. Of course, just did that last night for another thread.
yes - cummins and divorced 205 T-case. No need for ford-cummins.com stuff. They are getting better with what they are making - but still look over priced to me
As for the driver side drop on Ford stuff - I'm pretty sure dodge is the same. Chevy is the odd ball here.
So yeah Dave - throw the cummins and divorced 205 in that pig and get her running already
Well thats the plan. Cummins/getrag/dodge 205/ford 205
Problem im lookin at is i need an oilpan, oil lines to and from turbo, most of the freeze plugs will need to be replaced. Big money items. Also with the price of an injection pump and injectors if any of that stuff goes bad i dont have the sort of income to replace it. It might be more economical to go with a 460. Although less gas mileage and overall shorter life span. It is cheaper in the end to fix if it were to break. Ive got to think this all over for awhile.
On another note. Everyone giv eme some ideas on a bed for the crew. Some sort of offroad freindly flatbed with some style. Only thing is round tube is out of the question as i have no way to bend/notch it.
