Today brought the aggrivation. So guess what those spring hangers are not all drilled the same where the rivits went. So work to the wise. Dont measure one then drill the rest to match that. Also when i went to 3" Springs the hangers stick out more than the factory. So now i have to move my spring perches out 1" on each side. SO ill be ordering those and ruffstuff shackle flip kit soon,.
Ok so ive made a little and i mean little progress. Im using rearched highboy rear leaves with a couple added to each pack. Factory highboy block. With the 37s on there and no weight its 39" to the top of the rear part of the frame.
Started on the new crossmember for the front spring hangers. 2" drop.
Got shocks today. Rough Country. For a 99-04 Stupid Dooty with 4" lift. Not the best shocks but they will work for now. Fronts have 10" of travel and the rears have 14". Pics are of the rears.
Right now its a frame with the rearend. The cab is what you see standing up behind it. Got my crossmember figured out and ill be able to bolt it in (steve) instead of weld it on.
Alot of **** with a new house that needed cleaned out and havin to pinch pennies for parts.
good deal. We're just giving you grief. I know 1st hand all the crap that comes with owning a house and how much time is lost in fixing up, etc. the place. Just keep trying to move FORWARD on the trucks!
This sounds like a similar story. Money for the house or truck. Truck always seems to lose. Still, keep picking away at it. I like watching "real" people's builds.
