Its safe to drive in any conditions if ya know how to drive. Maidstone is oilfield territory, and lemme tell ya, alot of the guys that work in the patch do not know how to drive. Everything is rush rush rush.
If its icy, then ya drive slow and cautious. Its not ideal conditions, but driving can still be done safely.
To those that cant drive in these conditions, move to brazil please! This is Saskatchewan, we have ice and snow and cold in the winter!

Ok, so we`ll all move to Brazil for the winter.......
If they learned how to drive in the winter, they wouldnt be in the ditch, just saying! I looked for a link for the thousands of people that didnt hit the ditch in the past few days, and couldnt find one!
Nice evening out, I actually went and plowed my yard, the snow was deep!
Seen someone was out snowmobiling around all ready out near my place! There is JUST enough snow on my first quarter section that a guy could go for a quick spin.
Oh and everyone can move to Brazil except me! I love it here, all seasons!
With all the oil patch guy's around, your going to find a whole new brand of people not used to our prairie winter's. Furlow will make them in a hurry to get away from the hustle and bustle, there fore making them dangerous on the road's. Soon there will be a reality series about that, go figure.
you got snow ..and we haven't even had frost...hell I'm still mowing the dang lawn ..(now and then)..that reminds me ..I better change the anti freeze in the toy's ,,and seal up the water faucets ..and ..what else is there ...our problem is the damm bicycles in traffic and leaves on the wet roads...and the old fart's on the scooters ( yes I am one !)
