I washed mine up today hopefully it is not the last ride of the season. It was a beautiful day here today.
Look, you've created a Yamaha Street Glide
I went this summer without a bike. Didn't even throw a leg over one while it was running. I'll likely get back into it next summer but I can't decide what to get. I love the versitility of the hayabusa/zx-14, as they are comfortable enough to tour with, yet still a high performance speed demon for my thrill seeking side. I love the character and comfort of the Harley Davidson motorcycles, the v-twin sound, and the aftermarket availability to make it personal. The winningest thing about the HD is the resale. If you buy a HD at the right price, you will hardly lose a penny within 5 years of when you purchased it. I'm also stuck thinking about an adventure bike. BMW Gs1200A or such beast. My only concern with those bikes is that they are tall bikes, and may be somewhat cumbersome with city driving. That being said, smaller men than me have piloted they around the world...
Truth be known, I really can't justify having any summer toys... Summer is just too busy.
Smokin` bike Colin! We never did meet up, let`s for sure do it next year.
Thanks Morris. Yes we will get together next summer, this one went by way to fast with to many things to do.

That is the look I am going for. I am hoping next year to get some true duals ( love that look) and get rid of a little chrome.

Sad though, I really love biking! Least I got quadding and sledding to make up for the difference
Thanks Preppy, the kids washed my sled while I was washing my bike so it is ready to go on the first snowfall. They also washed my 50 which really made it look good. Matthew kept saying "Ole Betsy really is dirty" I am not sure were he got that from, cause I have never called it that.
Unless ya get a big dual sport you will miss the performance, but man are they fun. With the bike I have now though I can motor along pretty well plus do some off road.
If I got the super enduro instead of the super moto I would have been able to kill offroad, but not have quite as good gravel and highway riding.
Maybe you should come take my ktm for a burn? Might like it?
Either way get something and next summer lets get a bunch of us together for a ride!
I think I've narrowed it down to 2 bikes. It will be either a Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic or a BMW GS800A. Reasons? The HD is a big comfy couch, room to take everything and the kitchen sink. The wrap-around backrest and large passenger seat makes it much "safer" to take the kids for a little cruise when I can, and my oldest daughter will be 5 in April. Its memory making time!!!
The BMW GS800A is an interesting bike. Its a tall adventure/dual sport bike, about 85hp, but fully bagged and tricked out with TCS, ABS, heated grips and a few other neat things. The really cool thing about it is the price tag... Its not much of a kid friendly bike though.
I much prefer Friday mornings over Monday mornings tho once my winter vacation kicks in it won`t matter.
How did you day go Grant?
Happy Tuesday mornin" all. Very foggy here this morning, the thickest I've seen in a long time. If it weren't for the strobe on the school bus I wouldn't have seen it. Morris my day went well yesterday till I got home. My 7yr old Kalan had a melt down, he was untamable from 7pm till 9pm. He was saying I made him mad, he was on the computer with a whole chicken (one of those cooked roasters from Sobeys) chicken pieces and fat all over the keyboard. I took it away and gave him what for. They know that they're not allowed food or drink at the computer. I had to go for a walk about and let my wife deal with it, She has far more patience for that, I'm too old school, Jordan on the other hand, listen's and has alot of respect for us and never really is a problem. When I was Kalan's age I'd be throttled within an inch of my life if I did that. Remember some day they'll be running this country Well that's enough venting, have a great day guy's
Both of the bikes you have listed are cool choices, tough to choose between them. You really need both! haha.
This next summer I hope to find the right convertible mustang myself too. I was a little too slow on two of them this summer and they sold when I had asked about them, so next summer Im gonna be on the ball.
Sucks though, the one I looked at this past summer was a stang ive wanted forever, black, supercharged, beautiful car.
