Morning boys! Temp dropped to a chilly -20 over night but back up to 0 on Saturday if you can believe the forecast!! This is insane. I sure hope it isn't saving all the garbage weather for March or something! I think I'm paying for the nice weather and being outside slightly underdressed. I can feel a cold approaching.
Well, the 5.0 did the job well and towed the little cows home with ease. They're all settled in and slowly making their acquaintance with the sheep. I also bought the horse I went to look at. He was a real sweetheart and I just couldn't say no. The people want to deliver him for us next weekend. They've had him for 14-15 years, since he was 4, so he's very much a part of the family and they want to make sure he is going to a good home.
Longer days is music to my ears!
An F150 with the 5.0 certainly has the power to tow. I towed my son`s 86 Capri on a car trailer from Alberta with ease, up and down hills didn`t bother it one bit.
It`s cool about your animal hunt Sherm, I`m sure that horse will have a good home.
I`m slowly getting a few more things for my 53 M100 resto rod. I took the rad in to be redone but first I have to find an upper rad hose that will work so the outlet can be done.
The last part I'm waiting on to reach the vendor should arrive tomorrow so they say so hopefully sometime next week I can get back to working on my pickup. CPP of course was the hold up with the hanging brake pedal/booster /master cylinder...

I got my pre plumbed MC and booster kit from Mid Fifties complete custom made kit including the re enforcing bracket from the inside of the firewall to the underside of the dash. I bought it this spring when the exchange was better, now I wouldn`t even dream of ordering anything from the USA.
Morning boys. A little chilly out there this am, but we still shouldn't complain. I think we have more behind is than is ahead of us now. At least, this is what I'm hoping for 2/3 groundhogs are telling us it's going to be an early spring.

Thanks Bridge. I take possession this weekend. I am excited My wife told me if I neglect getting the house reno's finished she's going to get rid of all my animals. I told her to wave when she reaches the end of the driveway
Morris, now is definitely not the time to be buying parts across the border. Our dollar value is very ugly right now. Next time it comes up to par or better I will be buying some American money.
Happy Hump Day Mornin'all. !st time in a long time, I get into work, and actually have time to chat and have my morning coffee. It's been absolutely crazy here. we're busy going out of Winnipeg, but getting home a day or two late from the US. Hopefully thing shape up by spring. Or it's time to change job's. The stress is really high. I'm back on my high blood pressure med's. Good luck with the critter's Sherm. I bought an engine for my snow blower from the US is was $450.00 all in to my door cdn. Up here the same engine was $750.00. Some things, even with the exchange, are still better in the US. I regards to truck part's. This is the 1st winter I haven't bought part's for the spring. I still have a lot to do without spending too much US. I'll wire the truck and get it running this summer, and hopefully get some more body work done. Have a great day guy's.
Where did you get your`s John, when and how much did it cost? You knew I`d have to ask.
Mine was $299 US last spring, $550 delivered to me.
I bought everything from Street Rod & Restoration Parts - Horton Hot Rod Parts hanging brake pedal kit cost me $484 Can. It was ordered in the middle of January. Shipping will be on top of that but I have a fairly large order of stuff coming so hard to say just what the total would be on just that one part. On shipping you pay the biggest amount on the first package and the ones that come with tend to be a lot cheaper because they are landing in the same spot, like picking up a hitchhiker...lol
