Happy Holiday Monday mornin'all. Nice lookin critter's Sherm. Is the horse ridable? All you need now are some pig's. Aaron; We had a 2008 Ranger 4X4 as a work truck. It was nice, but I found it small in the cabin area. It was a very good truck otherwise. We sold ours to a driver if I recall for around $6800.00. It had 250,000km on it. Our Manager drove in from the Steinbach area every day. I changed some taps in the upstairs bathroom yesterday, and will work on the Central vac today. The motor on it went south, and again bought one online, with exchange, and shipping $250.00. (from canada) They wanted $399.00 here. I should have everything rebuilt here by spring. Then I have to find some cash for my truck. I'll have to stretch the Co-op fuel rebate a long way. Have a great day guy's.
Hi follks, another nice day here in paradise.
You don`t need to worry about me throwing anything away too often John, I`m a pck rat.
It`s good to hear you have your snowblower going Grant, winter isn`t over yet.
I`m lovin`this weather too Sherm, with temperatures around -1°C I certainly won`t complain. Looking at your pictures makes me miss cattle.
I should take one or both trucks to a resto shop, just need to find a good one not too far away.
Hi Aaron, good luck in your vehicle hunt, now there are so many choices out there. I agree with John, from my experinces with the 4.0 they are good engines tho a bit on the thirsty side.
Congratulations on getting your horse Sherm, he looks like an intelligent gentle fellow. Rangers are great trucks Aaron, I have an older one. People I have talked to that own the newer ones with the 4.0 like them a lot but like Morris says, they like to drink a bit.

Don`t be knocking the Blue Oval too hard John....
I think that our 2013 Escape is pretty fair on fuel, not sure what it gets exactly but would guess at mid 30`s on the highway and it is a peppy little run about. It puts my F150 to shame but the F150 more twice the size.
Yep, the horse (Sugar) is very well broke. I took him out for about 30 minutes yesterday bareback to get a feel for him. He was getting distracted with the new sounds and smells in the yard, but once he settled down, we had a fun little ride around the yard. His training and ability goes far beyond my riding ability. My father in law took him for a ride also, he has a lot more experience with horses than I do. He was quite impressed.
I don't think any particular brand can claim great fuel economics across the board. Talking to guys who have had everything and they all seem to get within 1-2 mpg of each other, regardless of if its eco this, turbo that... If the weights and body style are similar, they are going to be similar in fuel usage. I know guys who fell victim to the Dodge Eco-Diesel hype, at first they were claiming that they were getting high 30's for mpg, funny how now that there is some miles on the trucks and seat time the truth is coming through that they get low 20's on a good day. Ecoboost is no different. Multi-displacement technology hasn't proved to be any more of a Godsend.
Short work week this week... Have a great day boys!!
If it`s dark outside...you`re gettin up too early Sherm!
Good that Sugar is very well broke, since I don`t have any experince I wouldn`t know how to nor would I want to ever try breaking a horse.
Evening everyone. I decided to take my truck to work today because I slept in on accident. About half way there it happen, I hear a wheel bearing hum... so with a little over 36,000km, my 2014 F150 needs a new wheel bearing and is sitting at my work waiting for one of my coworkers to bring in his trailer and tow it to the shop here in town. Unfortunately, I don't know if the shop here will be able to get the part warrantied so this might be coming out of my pocket.... I haven't really grown attached to this truck and this is only making it worse. I see a new 3/4 ton gas truck in my close future.... Hope everyone is alive and well.
Yes but the shop here is just a regular auto shop. No dealerships for three hours. I'm hoping he might be able to call the dealership and they might send the parts up on warranty, I know he has done that with the GM dealership for my buddies power steering hose, so I'm hoping he can do that with the ford's as well.
