same here Saleen... its lbs, miles, yards, gallons, feet inches and knee high to a short stick...
I am like a hybrid guy to this day.
I guess it had to do with being at an age where i ws started on the imperial system, then forced to go metric.
I like feet, inches, pounds, and ounces.....but then for other stuff I use litres, millilitres, kilometeres, and meters.
It really does get confusing at times I think for others to deal with me.
If you talk to me in kilograms, centimeters, millimeters, quarts, pints, yards I just go blank.
To me I swear that i would understand more if you spoke to me in Mandarin or Spanish.....And trust me I do not speak either language.
My parents being about 30 years older than me to this day only use imperial measures.
Tell them something in litres, or kilograms and they have no idea.
I often expect to see my mom driving down the highway at 100 miles per hour, and telling me she is just doing the posted speed....LOL
i know sal,
when i was a kid in school the teachers all taught both systems. 1 teacher went as far as telling us the world is going metric. but it never happened. but alot of cars and trucks are metric and some are both standard and metric. talk about confusing.
I often expect to see my mom driving down the highway at 100 miles per hour, and telling me she is just doing the posted speed....LOL
thats funny... the first time i visited ths states, i'm looking at speed limit signs going WTF????? how the heck am i going to go this slow on a highway?? something quickly clued in that it was mph... now, talk about a oops when i made the mistake of reversing the idea in canada...
