those pics were taken back in the middle 70's a few years before they closed the race track. i run a few hot laps in the red cougar 77x. the real driver won a heat race then totaled the car right after that pic was taken. and i know the guy that drove the blue mustang #53. the race track is called playland speedway. it closed at the end of the 1976 race season due to a noise law. and the city of council bluffs,iowa condemed the grandstands forcing the track to close. but the website is still active.

I`m trying to stay warm though, it`s not a great day.
