Curtis, thank you. Not using any spacers. Wheels turn freely from lock position to lock position. DOT is stamped on both head and tail lights. Turn has a cat and muffler. We did the measurements and calculation and seems the height is within requirements. Truck already has flares with "Long John" mud flaps and 5 cab lights with clear lens in amber.

Have I missed anything???
Not that I can think of. I'm no expert other than since barage of pull overs within 2 months of owning the eX that once your legal, the city cops know your trucks been VIU'd recently and tend to attend to more productive work not seeing the "flag" in their system. Been a solid 100,000 miles since my last pull over She's a DD.

I honestly can't say I believe that. Out of the 6 pull overs I had, all 6 said different things. Cops, if they actually know the rules will physically ticket you. If they don't, they'll give you say a "splashguard ticket" using the "means a million different things legally" "Act H7A Sec 204(1) fail to have required equiptment, namely: Splash gaurds".
Some actually physically measured bumper, some measured track/frame height ratio live on the spot. Interestingly enough every single measurement was different. I only give this as an example for the main hassles guys with investments in unique personal or company vehicles. Lowered, lifted, civic, Superduty it don't matter. Pretty much anything unique or modified will instigate a possible pull over. Once everything is done to follow the rules, meet all safety quidelines they leave you alone. I still get alot that will change 3 lanes, do a u ball at a set of lights, catch up to me in seconds just to pull the plate and end up just leaving me alone Note all items list above were breaking HTA laws

If you ever have serious questions I was helped by 2 guys who work very very closely with MPIC and their rules and regulations book. Bill and Greg. Great guys. They contacted me hearing about the safety issue I had, basically wanting to investigate the variables in my 1st VIU, 2nd VIU and the original safety done when purchased. They are fighting dillegently for rule changes that are practical, say the same thing legally (What VIU and HTA enforce) and will ultimately benifit guys like us with "SAFE" well built, well maintained modified vehicles.

By no means do I mean to insult the city police or VIU or what they enforce, just basically saying everyone's different and they all need to be on the same page looking at the same rule book

One other note I will say with the switch over of tires after your VIU I did notice that when the truck was VUI'd the final time for the pass, they took pictures of everything. Noticed mainly the tires, zooming in on the size ect. I don't know if the city police have access to the photo's taken by the VIU guys or not but with computers in the cars now and MPIC funding alot of the enforcement (city police) it wouldn't surprise me. I'd like to put my 42 MTR's back on but I know a) it won't be legal and b) i'd be just adding to the reason we get hassled.
Either way I drive what I drive cause I can, and I love it!!

I think we should meet up, us local FTE guys and get some snapshots of our babies and maybe even go get them dirty Randy, your coming down soon EH?

I am game for a meet. Bad news is I am not available April 22-25. But the 26th would work.

Thank you for all the advice. I am in the process of fighting in court two separate blue light tickets that are used for snow clearing and removal.

What you up to Grant? I've started my next project, 56 pickup. Most of my parts came in yesterday to replace the complete floor so should be busy for awhile. Do you know the best wrecking yard to deal with in Winnipeg? I'm looking for one of those hard covered tire carriers from a Rav4 or the likes.

I can't do the 26th because that's my travel day, 12 hour travel from Gillam to Winnipeg, and I'm pretty busy until the 30th. I'll have to disguss this with my girlfriend to find out when we're not busy. We are in the Winnipeg area till May 11th so I'm sure we can figure something out. Even if we can't go off roading, I'd be good with just a meet and greet

Curtis, what's your schedule look like between the 26th an May 11th?

I'm back at it May 6th with dr's stamp of approval. Have pretty much 3 months of work lined up but am pretty much open to free'ing up time to meet up anytime that works for all of us.
Could meet here, head to Seddons or just hang out in the cave. Lot's of options

John, Try Buck's import yard (pick a part) or Team Auto Parts for import stuff. For domestic I go to one of the pick a part yards or Kildonan Auto. Good luck. Keep us up to date on your progress, and extra interior parts you may have.

I'm sure we'll make something work, I'm fine with just chillin in the man cave as well. From the small pic, that panel van looks pretty sick! Only way it could be more bad *** is if it was a diesel and a lifted 4x4 haha.

Grant, if you wanna come play in the mud with us I got a big chain and tow rope and I've pulled out some pretty stuck vehicles before lol
