If I still get a Bronco it'll most likely be a 302 or 351 because they are easier to come by. Then once I get a Bronco, I will go from there weather I want to keep the original engine and just freshen it up or swap it out for a 460. Plus I would swap the gears to match the set up I do and I would throw in some lockers for sticky situations . Also the factory Rancho branded shocks are not actually made by Rancho, if you take a look on them you will find a stamp that says they are made by Ford. I think they are giving Rancho a bad name with how bad those shocks are. I would love some Fox shocks but they don't make them for a 4-4.5" lift.
C6 mated to a 302 won't bolt up. 351W, however will. Just an FYI.
Put a locker in the rear only, if you put one in the front of those Dana 44 IFS's you'll be busting front axles and because of the short wheelbase you'll have a big problem trying to turn. I actually still have some axles/driveshafts/cv joint and goodies from the old powertrain. If you buy one, they are yours. Spares ALWAYS come in handy when playing!!
I was unaware of Ford making those shocks. I've personally put Rancho's on a few trucks, and my 08 Ranger had them stock. All of them didn't like the washboard on the gravel backroads and the feedback after hitting potholes or big dips were brutal. Both my Rangers would almost always jump sideways in the rear.
Evening everyone, our snow is finally going down quite fast now but they are threatening some parts in our area with up to 5 centimeters , hopefully they lie. Get my panel safetyed on Friday so things are looking up.
G'day guys!! Net's been down for 2 days here.
Morris, wonderfull day here as well. Outside in shorts and sandles spreading snow around catching some sunshine!! Was going to tackle the rear bumper today but decided against it. I'll have to post some pics of the $40 budget bumper update lol.
Going to head out back with chitlans and play with their quad for awhile after supper
It`s rain coats and rubber boots here.

There will be a lot of grass to cut here if it ever warms up, I`m looking forward to that, more seat time is always a good thing.

I miss the ride of my 150 some days. My 250 rides almost as bad as my tandem when it is -20, although it does go down gravel roads real nice.
It was windy here too but at +20 it wasn`t cold. I almost had time to take the bike out for a spin but I got too busy putting things away getting ready for this monsoon.

20mm of rain coming for us today and tomorrow. That should take care of the remaining snow.
Walking my pooches last night, I spy a skunk across the road from our place. I get the dogs attention and keep them headed to the house, grab the wife and war machines and head back out to raise a stink. We walk up to the skunk, probably 15-20 feet away, he's not even noticing us, got his head buried in some grass snorting around. I take a pic and say a few hello's... He lifts his head, then scurries under a little building in the yard. Wife and I look at each other...oops. I guess we should take care of business before exchanging pleasantries with the varmints...lol
The pictures are on the way, yesterday my friend was out with his fancy camera and hasn`t yet emailed them.

Hey Clint.
John, good luck with getting your panel, hopefully no hassles.
Good Morning gang!!

If I'm getting a Bronco to play with I'm spending the extra money and getting rid of that TTB front axle, secondly it'll get selectable lockers front and rear so that it does not lose any of its street ability. Spare parts are always good to have too. I actually liked the way my 2010 F150 rode with the oem off road shocks but I liked the way it rode even better after the Pro Comp lift . As much as I would love a fancy high end lift with some King shocks, I just don't know if I can spend that much money on a lift kit. But then again, I don't want to cheap out and regret it. We'll see what the tax man brings me and go from there .
Thanks Gerry! I got big hopes and dreams but that's why the government loves me, they get almost as much money as I do and they don't even have to work for it! A coworker of mine actually has had more taxes taken than he has made this year so far. Its horrible that the government has their hands so deep in our pockets
We had an eventful day. Our boxer pup took to her blond roots an left the yard. 3-4 hours later I found her, covered in mud and fairly scared. Must have taken after a rabbit or something and forgot herself. Luckily she came back in one piece. Wife was in a panic cause she couldn't find the kids birth certificates. Without them we couldn't cross the border into the US tomorrow. I came to the rescue and found them I'm hoping for some acts of gratitude later...
