I feel the same way, rather sock than lifted but they are neat to see.

Beauty of a day here today.

Randy, go 460. Might be 1-2 mpg difference, but if you do tow or do lift/tires, the 460 won't change much where the 351 will feel the difference.

We're off to Bismarck ND this weekend for Monster Jam. If there's one thing I love, its monster trucks.

Had my cobra out for a rip this evening. It was a mistake as it has some fresh splashes on it now, but felt awesome!!

We'll see if we still get a Bronco when time comes. As much as we both want one, we're more than likely going to be responsible and buy something more sensible like a newer Ford Explorer, if we can find one in our price range. Hopefully, I can find a cheap Bronco to buy and fix up on the side. Have a safe trip Sherwin

Two reasons I have jacked up trucks.
1) urban off roading over these potholes
2) flooding

Winnipeg is great

I miss my F150, that truck rode amazing after I put the Pro Comp Stage 2 lift on it. It never bottomed out hard and I got all four wheels off the ground but it did top out pretty hard (full suspension extension). My F350 rides like crap, hoping to change that soon. When I was test driving my F350, the sales man told me to take it down a gravel road because he knew that I drive a lot of gravel. When we got back on the highway he looked at me and said "I bet this truck handles the gravel better than your F150 does". I almost burst out laughing and told him that he needs to go for a ride in it. When I first got my F350 I'll admit that it was good for a one ton on gravel but my F150 would do 120-140 down a rough gravel road and stay spot on straight and ride smooth.

I hear you about the 150. Like the look of the 250 but it handles these pot holes rough. The 150 is quicker, smoother, and just awesome to drive. The 250 shall tames what ever work load is thrown at it. Guess as the soon to be wife keeps telling me. I am a spoiled brat to have the best of both worlds. Comes at a high price.

It really is a beauty of a day here today too, I`m lovin` it!
This morning I took my shinny 86 GT for a blast into town, I spent a few hrs getting polishing it last week and the weather was finally nice enough to drive it.

G'day guys!! Net's been down for 2 days here so thanks to Randy for correcting me. Colin, I appoligize. Had a list of stuff to do that morning and quickly buzzed on for a good morning before heading out on a material run.

Randy, either a 460 or 302 bra. 351's were boat ankers <--did i even spell that right.
With the 460 it has the torque for mileage where as the 302 will have to make up in HP to keep up in mileage IMHO. Gotta be honest, the BB in my Bronc wasn't to terribly bad on fuel being a carberated 78 police interceptor retiree Going bigger tires and not switching gears to match the build is another reason to go BB. It'll carry you alot further than the SB.

TJ, you should check out Fox shocks for your SD. I heard a guy at TransTec today getting a quote on some. Price isn't too bad compared to replacing stock. Bilstines are known for being too stiff for bobtailing around town. Rancho, Ford's upgraded off road package shock is even worse. Been very happy with mine, got some air off the tracks by the old Red River Yamaha this winter and took it like a champ. Potholes, I think nothing you buy can take the ones we have in the city. Along with the asphalt ruts don't think there's much we can do.

Morris, wonderfull day here as well. Outside in shorts and sandles spreading snow around catching some sunshine!! Was going to tackle the rear bumper today but decided against it. I'll have to post some pics of the $40 budget bumper update lol.

Going to head out back with chitlans and play with their quad for awhile after supper

No worries Curtis, I knew who you were talking about.
It was really warm here today but very windy so that kinda spoiled the warm weather. Now we are supposed to get a big dump of rain here tomorrow.
I miss the ride of my 150 some days. My 250 rides almost as bad as my tandem when it is -20, although it does go down gravel roads real nice.

My F150 was a much nicer ride but my F350 gets on average of 6mpg better on the highway in the summer, about the same mileage in the winter and in town as my F150 did on the same size tires and its got almost double the hp and triple the torque . I want a Carli suspension lift but I don't know if I can handle forking over $3851 plus $650 for shipping. I'm almost thinking of going with a Rancho 4" lift with xl9000 adjustable shocks and using the extra money to buy Carli's add-a-pack and some traction blocks.

If I still get a Bronco it'll most likely be a 302 or 351 because they are easier to come by. Then once I get a Bronco, I will go from there weather I want to keep the original engine and just freshen it up or swap it out for a 460. Plus I would swap the gears to match the set up I do and I would throw in some lockers for sticky situations . Also the factory Rancho branded shocks are not actually made by Rancho, if you take a look on them you will find a stamp that says they are made by Ford. I think they are giving Rancho a bad name with how bad those shocks are. I would love some Fox shocks but they don't make them for a 4-4.5" lift.

Very nicely done Gerry.

20mm of rain coming for us today and tomorrow. That should take care of the remaining snow.

Walking my pooches last night, I spy a skunk across the road from our place. I get the dogs attention and keep them headed to the house, grab the wife and war machines and head back out to raise a stink. We walk up to the skunk, probably 15-20 feet away, he's not even noticing us, got his head buried in some grass snorting around. I take a pic and say a few hello's... He lifts his head, then scurries under a little building in the yard. Wife and I look at each other...oops. I guess we should take care of business before exchanging pleasantries with the varmints...lol

Happy Hump Day mornin'all. I was at a baseball coaches meeting till 11pm last night. Way too late for me. Too many Newbe's, with too many questions about playoff's. (the field's probably won't be dry till playoffs start) They want to start the season next week Well another crazy day here at work. I booked Friday off to look after Kalan and take the Edge in for it's final warranty check. Have a great day guy's.
