How Hard is it to swap out? Is it something you can do on the side of the freeway?
Hopefully you never need too, however I have read that you should always carry a spare and the 10mm socket(i think) someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that. If you are not familiar with the procedure, I would recommend a practice swap in the driveway before you have to do it "under fire" on the side of the highway! Good Luck

Well, I picked one up at the local international dealer this am. $107.09 plus tax for the 1807339C92 CPS. No price breaks here since they didn't know me from Adam . It took all of 10 min to get it in and the ol girl seemed to fire up just a tad quicker than normal. I took some pics with the factory original Ford CPS next to the new International blue CPS and about the only physical difference I could see was the new blue CPS was slightly tapered on the end where the Ford was more square. I had set both of them on a metal table in the shop and noticed that the new blue CPS had a much stronger magnet pull on the table than what the Ford CPS did. I'll have to get some miles on it to see if it has any noticible perfomance ++ on my PSD.

Thank you, I think Ill pick one up to be on the safe side
Missed it earlier. It is a 10mm socket. Also, some dielectric grease on the connection is always a good idea. It took me longer than 10 min, but I think it's because I was pondering where it get's tricky and complicated, which it never did. When I go to swap in the blue one, I'd say it'll take me less than 10 min.

It should work on your truck just fine. There is a rubber o-ring that you'll want to be careful not to cut when you're installing it. Other than that, just take your time and make sure you pull the old one straight out and put the in new one straight. It is an electronic sensor, so you don't want to go kicking it around the garage.
