Your guess is as good as anybody elses. The CPS might last for ages, or it might give up tomorrow.

Wise men carry a spare CPS and necessary tools with them at all times.

Its in my original post. I have one on the way as I am realy curious about it as well. Is it better contacts that make the difference or is there something else going on? I would like to know. The only thing I have ever done that hurt my truck was the sonnax kit, but I know the tranny was on its way out anyway. Kwik filter mod= just freaking awesome. I wish I would have heard about this before I replaced my cps with a new OEM, but oh well. Now I'll have more than one extra.

For those of you that get it before I do, please keep the responses coming. I would like to know how many of us get the same/different results.

Thanks

Good question. IIRC it had gold contacts. The shape of the sensor is slightly different- Tapered more. It has a much stronger magnet than the stock CPS.

Those are the same differences I found. How does that effect the PSD system, if all? That is the question we would all like answered.

According to International it provides a more consistent stronger signal and reduces the radio noise that apparently is a problem with the stock CPS. My theory is that the cleaner signal from the blue DT CPS allows the timing of the engine from cylinder to cylinder to be more precise and this of course makes it smoother, quieter, stonger and more efficient because it is not fighting itself.

How's yours working out?

I started reading that thread over at TDS, couldn't find it this morning though. Seems like the issue was really beat to death. I figure I will try it. I need a spare anyway. I've been driving this truck w/o one (spare that is) for the last year, and I really dont want to be stranded! I guess my only concern is I plan to buy a chip from Jody soon and I'm curious how the two will interact. Like I read before, the PS is mighty expensive Ginea pig!

How Hard is it to swap out? Is it something you can do on the side of the freeway?
