My 94 has the dual (TB) into single (airbox) intake boot. I did snag a dual boot system off a earlier 5.0......I like that intake you got....does it get very wet or dirty off-road?
And has a whopping 49,760 miles.
It had 37,XXX when I bought it.
And who F'd up this thread so you hafta scroll so damn much!?
hmm well the off roading issue is a non issue for me but couldn't you fab up a 4 corner box that would shield the fiters without restricting them to prevent them from getting water in them???
not really the one filter closest to the master cylinder touches the hood slightly if it only had one intake hose and mass air filter i would build a box,K&N makes a mass air filter for trucks with dual air intake hoses but i dont have the $200.00 for it,that one sits in the bottom of the air box without the top,the filters i have are made like K&N filters but they are cheaper and come in different colors, ihave seen people use them offroading without problems,i got them at advanced auto for about $30 a piece
My '75 has less than 120,000. Still runs strong as all hell. She had a valve job before I bought her, that explains the crazy compression it still has. I'll dig this dead post up years from now when my 300 is finally dead. I have a feeling that this thread dies before my motor.
My 95 is at 195k and does not burn or leak oil. It has the dual intake SD. I think most of the single intake were MAF and sold in Calif from 94 on. I fully expect the engine will easily go another 100k. During our latest snow storm I ran into a fleet of 92-96 F250s at a local coffee shop. Several had the 300 and the owner considered it to be the best gas plow trucks ever made.
YMMV

116,000 on my 1980 F-100. It's actually probably more since the truck has slightly bigger tires than stock and the speedo was never recalibrated. It's off by about 5mph. I know that seems low for a truck that old but I know its right cause my dad is the original owner and its actually still in his name. lol

Just change the speedo 'driven' gear to get the correct mph/odometer reading.

That's what I did to mine.
I'm not sure what size gear I should go to from stock though. Truck is a 3 speed with I think a 2.75 rear gear. Not certain on the gear though. It went from 195/75 R15's to 235/75 R15's. That was many many years ago when my dad put new tires on it the first time. I still have the original spare tire laying in the bed of the truck. lol

Let me see if I can find my notes on the size speedo gear.
It will take a while.
I went from a 2:75 to a 3:50 and from 205/75 R15 to a 30-9.50/15 tires.

Ok cool. It would be nice for the speedo to be right for a change. I've been driving the truck for 11yrs with it like that. I just always go what the posted speed limit is and know that I'm actually going 5 over.
