Happy Friday all! Today is the first of three days forecast to be over 100 degrees. It was originally forecast to be only today and tomorrow, but they have added Sunday to the list. My church is having a Family Day this Sunday. Normally the English service starts at 10am and the Spanish service starts at 1pm, however this Sunday they will have a bilingual service at 10am and then at 11am until 2pm will be food, fun and games for the kids, a bounce house etc. We do this once a year. On the 15th we have our annual car show where people bring their cars to show off. I have never had a vehicle I would consider entering except when I had the Dodge Charger R/T, but it was destroyed before June of that year so I never got a chance. Notable cars that do attend are a 1927 Ford (model T I believe) a 1962 Chevy II that is highly modified. I will take some pics and post them here when the time comes.
We expect it to be at least 90 today, but we shall see. It started this morning at 73, which indicates (at least) that we're having an inversion. Much cooler down in the valley (like around 60).
Our local CalFire station is having their annual pancake breakfast tomorrow. Good to go there to get some expensive pancakes (and support our local volunteer fire crew), and to meet a bunch of our locals.
We will be having hot dogs and tri-tip on Sunday, but no pancakes.
These photos are from last year's car show. I am sure they will be here this year. The Chevy was bought for $35k already built. The Ford has been in the family since it was bought brand new. The Roadrunner has a turbocharged 318 in it.

Reason: add photos
Had to turn the AC on this morning at 1am as it was too hot and muggy inside my apartment. I wake up at 8:30am and it is already 82 degrees outside. Bleah.
In other news, welcome to the last day of May. Maybe the chapter leader will remember to make the June all topic thread today, so he doesn't have to do it tomorrow? LOL
