Well, hopefully nothing happens to keep her here after the end of the month.
Hot today, forecast high of 93. Bleah, not yest Summer, and we are in the 90's.
Started my bathroom remodel today, come to find all sorts of bad in this one .
1. Sub panel lead off the main not put in wall ( lower left )
2. Pex line out of wall , no 90 deg support or line support ( shower valve )
3 . Notched Truss joist ( drain)
4. Plastic drain ( leaking on truss joist and underfloor )
5 . three over sized holes in subfloor , Rat hotel
6. uneven stud framing ( homedepot specials)
7. Subfloor not level , ( 🤦🏻 I’ll fix that too )
my marble pan will be ready Tuesday, I sure hope I will be too 🙉
Lake Shastina. Never heard of it? That was one of the places advertised by Erik Estrada. As I recall, every commercial Estrada made, was some kind of a scam.
The plumbing guy on Ask This Old House likes to do the plumbing parts behind the shower all in copper because it's more rigid. He likes PEX to go from there.
We spent last week in Yosemite. Water falls were off the charts and the weather was perfect.
On the way home, the OAT hit 98 and stayed there until we got to Gilroy. We stopped at the Frosty Queen in Merced for a couple of milkshakes. There were excellent milkshakes.
When we got home here in the coastal hills, the OAT was 74. I like 74 much better than 98.
I’m a copper guy , I love to solder and feel if placed and done right it’ll last forever, but seen many over the years copper placed on nails and nobody taking the time to clean the flux off , every house in Oregun does Pex , matter of fact I never owned a Pex tool until three weeks ago for another job , I don’t like it , rats can chew through it and your relying on barbed fittings with a crimp ring 😮, rated at 160 psi &74 deg , I’ve seen brass split during freezing, I’m guessing Pex must stay in the insulation or it has a great expansion rate.
