Just helped my Wife and Mother-in-Law pack up and head off on an excursion for the next few days. Weather's going to great here in the Sacramento area the next 48 hours! (if you know what I mean)
That Girl went to Safeway. She bought short ribs. Because I made short ribs a few days ago, and she wanted more. But they were not on sale. She paid market price. Marinated in beer and soy sauce. It was good. I just had a hard time swallowing. Sticker shock. She did not grow up poor like me. I only buy what is on sale. She gets whatever she wants. She never had to stretch a dollar, or budget.
Small bag of potato chips cost $2.50 at Walmart. Might as well buy the big bag for $5.00. I bought four hamburger patties this past week. $7.50! Should have just bought one pound and make my own patties out of it.
I got some produce today. Just basic vegetables and fruit. Nothing special. The grocery store receipt said that I paid $13 for $50 worth of groceries. They're lying crooks. No way 6 items of produce is $50. Apples, grapes, onions, tomato, carrots, celery........
$20 worth of short ribs is nothing. You get enough meat for 1 burrito or 2 tacos. These are chuck ribs. Chuck is like $4 a pound. Why is the bone so expensive?
