I get what Costco sells. My cousin swears by King's from Hawaii. Apparently, Hawaiian kimchi is different than Korean kimchi. I can't tell.

Had a doctor's appointment today. Lost five pounds since December of last year. Down to 305. Doctor is going to change my meds. Wants to wait for results of labs. Could be increasing one of the ones I am taking now or get rid of it and replace it with something else. I'll know within a week. No other news happening except somewhere in the central valley was a record breaking cannabis bust.

One less member of FTE. Killed by the heat. Currently 88 outside but forecast to be 92 when I go to work in it.
Truck is going to cost me $350 to fix. Problem? You won't believe it, gear selector cable. The transmission shifts fine when you disconnect the cable from the linkage. They checked the cable, and it was resting on the exhaust manifold, so it was burned through. Was told there is supposed to be a U-shaped bracket to keep it off the manifold but it is not there. So, they will order a new cable and bracket. Cable will be here today, but bracket will not arrive until next week. Truck is not at Payless, but across the street at Moe's Auto. I'll see if the VA can help me with this bill. If not I will have to wait until next month and max out my credit cards to do it myself.

Twice, by two different shops. Neither of them mentioned a bracket was missing.

.......and I am back to tri tip.

My Uncle took me out for steaks. My brother in law took me out for prime rib. The children said that they would rather have roast beef from home......... My home. Funny how kids think homemade is better than going out. I would rather go out.

That Girl. When she first met me, she thought that I was crazy because I had a folding steak knife in my pocket. It's cultural. Where I come from, everyone carries a knife.

Well, it has happened again. right rear tire has developed a flat spot. Called the repair shop, and a guy will be out tomorrow to "assess" the situation. he has used ones from my old scooter at his shop, and I have two used ones here. He will be out tomorrow morning around 10:30am. This one has lasted slightly longer than first blue one in getting its first flat.

We had relatives visiting from Minnesota last week, and natch, we did a couple of BBQs with my beloved Weber. My nephew related that he has switched to a pellet BBQ (Louisianna Grill), and likes it because it controls the temperature so well. Plus he can do low and slow when needed. I've had my Weber for at least a decade now, and it's still going strong. The temperature control is tempting though.
