Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Scattered overcast and we've climbed out of the hole at 38, now up to 50.
Got a letter from the IRS Tuesday saying they were applying our 2023 advanced estimated tax payment to our 2023 taxes. So that issue should be finally put to bed. The letter didn't say anything about it the account being closed or the penalties and interest though. So, we are still wondering. We stopped by the Post Office on the way home last night and had a slip in the box that we had two registered letters from the IRS requiring signatures at the Post Office, so now we won't know what's up until the PO opens at 11. (Our Post Office up here is only open from 1100-1400).
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 41, overcast and rain showers. Looks like it might be breaking up a bit now. COSXS meeting and BBQ starts at 10...hopefully it doesn't go from SxS to a boaters meet up.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 32 this morning with scattered overcast. Sun came up and we have warmed up to 39, but there is a breeze and the wind chill make it feels like it is coming straight off a glacier.
Water in the old horse pasture / meadow receded quite a bit yesterday. I guess the snow melt is getting past the spring rush.
Just when we thought the IRS problems were in the rearview mirror, we got registered letters Friday telling us that not only have they lied in writing, but they are also now escalating. These letters make no mention of the April 2023 payment. Since we have failed to respond to any of their numerous attempts to contact us, if we fail to do so by June 11, 2025 they will assume we agree with the amount owed and will begin seizure procedures, "if we haven't already". I am so tired of such incompetence. Guess we spend money on an attorney after all.

You're out toward Elmira and Fern Ridge Réservoir. We know people between Veneta and Lorane. Used to ride endurance horse rides and now raises labs. We picked up Snoopy (AKC Registered Lab) from her last September.
We are up the mountain from you near Gilchrist. We call this place Bravo. We also have a place in Sheridan we call Alpha. Probably gave them the wrong nicknames. Originally we were only going to be at "Bravo" about 40% of the time with the rest down in Sheridan. It didn't take too long for that to reverse course and its about 80% Bravo and 20% Alpha.
Again, Welcome Aboard!

Thank you! Nice setup. I love Oregon, especially this area... I lived off of my motorcycle (literally) for a number of years in my 20s and 30s. Pretty well settled down now in my 50s. Sounds like a good life you have, keep it up!
