Tim and Maria stopped by Thursday evening on their way home for riding the Jet Boats on the Rogue River from the Gold Beach Port. They headed on for home yesterday morning. Had a wonderful visit with them. It was great having them stop by.
Discovered that a solenoid, (cheap fix) on the one zone was not the problem, the valve (expensive fix) is. Of course, it's a heavier duty 2" PGA 200 Inline Angle w/Flow control valve which is over $120 each. Found one for $105 but they were out of stock. No one around here or 50 miles north in Bend has them, so one is on order. It will get here the day we start moving equipment and the boat to Diamond Lake on Friday. In the meantime, I took the guts out of the valve, cleaned them up then put the valve back together. Used so glue and "bubblegum" to fix the main problem and seems to be holding for now. I can guarantee that the bubblegum is not going to hold for long.
Getting down to home stretch for the first 2 week version of Diamond Lake 2025 Part 1. A couple of minor cleaning things to do with the camper and then later today it will be concentrating on getting the boat ready to go. Charger on the batteries to top them off. Only took a half our and they were showing at 100%.

I don't think we had near that much rain yesterday. Discovered I need to move the rain gauge up a bit higher or to a different location. Sprinkler head I moved a week ago is now adding water to the rain gauge.
I'm getting caught up on things around the place and trying to get caught up on the forums since we got back from vacation it's been pretty non-stop. We had a good time in Oregon, the boat trip was fun on the way up river but not so much on the way down. From the turn around point back to Agnes the pilot did a good job at getting us all wet, and I'm not sure way though, it wasn't that warm and once we left Agnes where the river was relatively flat we hauled the mail so to speak with a head wind it was cold and you needed eye and hearing protection which I didn't have either.
Anyway we had a great time visiting with my old high school friend and his wife. We stopped at Jim's Bravo compound on the way home and had really nice visit with him and his wife.
We bought a backhoe attachment for our tractor this last winter, it works well for an attachment but there was no way to control the throttle from the backhoe seat. This morning I made a modification so I can control the throttle from the operating position.
My idea of using the Utility trailer under the camper won’t work. Curses foiled agaign. The box on the left rear that encloses the drain valves and other things doesn’t clear the side rail on the trailer. If not for that enclosure / box, it would have been okay.
