Jim the I have been told the IRS pays the same interest as they charge.
I bought an excavator.
That looks like a nice play toy Chris. Wouldn't mind having one...not sure what I would do with it at the moment, but it would be nice to have around for when I do need one. I've been thinking about putting in a dedicated RV dump, but after that it may sit for ever without getting used.
The problem with whatever their interest rate is, they don't give it on money they claim, on one hand, that they don't have and we owe, and yet on the other hand claim they do have and don't understand why Accounts Management Division and / or Business and Estates Division is not crediting it to our account. They say there is a lock on the account so no liens or levy's can be put against us and yet, they just seized our State Income Tax Return and are threatening to put levy's and lien's against our property and bank accounts in May. We have no idea what they did with the state income tax return they seized. Our account that we see on line, shows they did it but it has not been credited to our account and, like the 2023 advanced payment has disappeared into the netherworld. They were doing the same thing with my sister. We both submitted substantiating documentation and the CPA talked to the IRS last May. In Sept. they properly credited her account, but not ours. She got the clearance letter and we got a "We need an additional 60 days to check into this" letter.
They are coming after property and bank accounts and have now proven they are seizing our assets and STILL not crediting our account with the seized funds. Time for an attorney and a law suit. Tired of the nonsense.
Jim it's going to take some time to get the projects with the excavator done, after that I'm going to sell it.
Co-workers are already asking to rent, I may do that to help refill the hole in the savings account.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Trip back to Bravo yesterday was delayed so we didn't get in until just before midnight. Had a very intelligent person at the Sportsmen's Association discharge a shotgun with gross negligence on the pistol range, of all places. No one hurt. Watching the video, he came within inches of blowing his own head off and he put a hole in the roof. I jerked his membership and the full board, RSO's and Instructors (I'm on all 3) will have a meeting with him on the 6th.
Got an appointment with the Bend IRS office on Wednesday at 1015. So, maybe we can finally get to the bottom of the money they lost or at least won't credit to our tax bill from 2023.
Beautiful day here at Bravo. Snow melt in full swing and the snow melt river channels in the meadow / old horse pasture are getting pretty full. Wish it would stay that way all year around.
