Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Back from our morning walk. Got slightly rained on. Dogs didn't even notice. We're up 15° to 49 now.
10x20 "heavy" iron dog run / kennel as well as a replacement 10x20 dining canopy/shelter will be here today. Dining shelter with mosquito netting is getting here a couple of days early. We won't be needing or using that until June. Our old one is 10-12 years old. They canopy is faded but okay however the collapsible frame is starting to fall apart. I might be able to get the pop rivet gun out and do some repairs, but its getting flimsy and not as ridged as it used to be so it's better being replaced.
Afternoon all. Done at the IRS. Went from there to the Big Bear Diner in Bend from there. Wife is telling me everything we need at Lowe’s, Home Depot and Costco….I brought the 350 DRW but I’m thinking now I should have brought the flatbed trailer as well. The doggy boxes from Black Bear alone are huge. Brought them to us the same time as they brought the food.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 57 under clear blue sky.
We were getting ready to call the attorney today about the IRS issues. Yesterday's meetings didn't go the way were hoping. There was one examiner handling meetings. She was a junior (just under 2 year 'Biden' hire) that was more collections than anything else. She told us she didn't even have access to a lot of the computer files and even the computer systems that she would need to trace our case or case history. There were a number of IRS employees coming and going from a 'back' office but apparently, they don't deal with any appointments dealing with taxpayer assistance or helping out the junior employee's?
Our gal didn't have seniority or clearance for 'deep dive' investigations or tracking down "missing or misapplied' payments or stopping liens and levy activities and was worried about being 30 minutes behind on her appointments for the day. She was a pretty pleasant gal to work with. She was up front and admitted her inexperience and said the paperwork, letters, notes and information we had was putting her into "information overload" and really didn't know exactly how to handle it. She made a ton of copies, typed a small book into her computer and said she was making a referral and sending it up the line to her Supervisory Lead. She was hoping he would review it and if she missed anything he may need to call us. We left a little disappointed as we had heard that in a dozen different telephone meetings, including the one April 21st, and were now wondering how big the attorney bill was going to be.
At 0850 this morning she called us on the phone. Her boss had gone over everything, jumped right on it and was putting a stop to all lien, levy & seizure activity. He had already taken action to get our State Income Tax refund returned to us and the "missing or misapplied" advanced estimated payments from April of 2023 was being correctly applied to our accounts. It will take up to 6 weeks to get everything straightened out but we are in the clear and have nothing to worry about. Funny how it takes so long to undo what they messed up inside of 20 days of us filing our 2023 returns last year, but we'll take the win and move on putting the nightmare in the review mirrors.
Good evening Andy Jim and...
Got lunch in North Plains today after picking up the new to us excavator.
A couple of pictures before leaving the auction yard and one at home.
