Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Overcast, rain showers and holding at 45. So much for plans to mow the lawn today. I guess we'll stay in the Rec/Storage building cleaning up dead flies. Getting some bugs (flies) in the kitchen light fixtures so I have to figure out how those come apart or down and get those vacuumed out.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 34° and climbing fast.
Since we don't have time to start seedlings, we bought some Tomatoes, squash and cukes at Lowe's a couple of days ago to replace our plants that froze. We have them set up in pots in the Rec / Storage building right now. We've been setting them out in the daytime and putting them in at night. It got down to 24 last night. So, they most likely would have frozen if we left them out.
High School buddy and his wife from Mac showed up yesterday. A friend from Boring was with them. They were on the Can Am 3 wheelers. They headed out for a night at Diamond Lake after a good visit. The elk didn't show up until after they left, but the River Otters made an appearance and provided a little entertainment.
Got the lawn mowed yesterday afternoon. Lower section is still very wet and / or under water so it didn't get mowed. I did find out that Zero Turn Mowers don't like water saturated ground and sink quite nicely in what appears to be grass but in reality is a booby-trapped mud pit.
