Good night all. Sheryl is still in critical condition. Can't find some internal bleeding. More tests and exams tomorrow. We're heading for OSHU PDX in the very early morning.
Didn't make it into Bend. They were kind enough to mail the belt I need for the auger. Best laid plans......Got the ridge out and was able to cut trail out to the Highway and bust through the ODOT plow berm. It wasn't enough. The Ridge SxS is only around 2000 lbs. I had 200#'s of pellets in the back of it. The F350 is much heavier. It sunk right through the trail I had cut with the Ridge. I made it out of the pole barn and across the bare ground I had cleared with the snowblower and one truck length down the 'blazed" trail. So, after some digging and with the assistance of the tractor I got that out.
Jim.....I haven't checked here for a couple of days. I would have been happy to get the belt and bring it down to you.. Looks like it's on the way now. Let me know if you need anything else. I usually don't have much pressing. No snow here.
Howdy all. We made it to OSHU in PDX. We’re back in the ICU waiting room. They are getting Sheryl ready for an Upper GI procedure. They are trying to find out where she is / bleeding. She was white as a sheet. The last couple of hours her color has mostly returned, her blood volume is improving and she hasn’t needed a transfusion. They think the leak has clotted but still need to try and find it.

Thanks so much Wayne. It is in the mail and should be there when we get back. It’s a long haul from your place to ours.
I reverted to my early ranch days and bailing wired & bubble-gummed the snow plow on the front of the SxS and very poorly & in efficiently got a path cut down the driveway to the highway. Took me until 2030 that night, but it was enough that we aren’t trapped or stranded & could
All is on hold now as our ‘Dutch’ Sister from the Green District of Roseburg got Life Flighted to OSHU in PDX. So, the bright side is that there is no snow here.
Just left the 7A ICU waiting room at Oregon Heath Sciences University Hspital in Portland. Going on a 17 hour day that started off in another snow storm at 0300 and a lot of compact snow and ice on the mountain pass.
They are pretty confident they found the bleeding problem. They cauterized an artery. The Doc told us she’s not out of the woods and considers the cauterization a temporary fix. More specialists taking a look to see if they want to put a ‘coil’ in to dam off the artery.
We have her oldest daughter with us right now at Applebees trying to get away from hospital cafeteria food.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 44.7 & raining. Wash, rinse and repeat.
The cauterization of Sheryls artery failed late last night and she crashed. Emergency surgery was performed and the coil was put in. Bleeding stopped and they stabilized the vitals and all started coming back into normal levels. Sedated and resting now. We went to Alpha afterwards to get a few hours sleep. Heading back up in a few.
Later this morning, they hope to remove the breathing tubes and some other apparatus they inserted during the course of the latest procedure.
