Just to add insult to injury, I haven't heard a thing from Powers MotorSports in Sublimity so the snow plow is still worthless. Then, this morning the snowblower started acting up I don't know if the auger belt is slipping, an auger gear box problem or a bearing going out on the auger drive belt pully. Not a happey camper at the moment. I've only got a part of the barn paddock, and the driveway cleared out down the back side of the house so I don't know if I can get the truck out or not. There is no question that either of the cars are going any place at all right now. I do have the one car that was outside, dug out.
Heading back out to take the belt cover off the snow blower and see what I can see. A sinking feeling in my gut is saying it is going to have to into Bend for Warranty work.

People that I need to talk to at the dealership were off yesterday so that was a bust.
Auger Belt on the snowblower is shot, so it is down. Driveway and 1/2 mile lane are snowed in and I was only able to get about 75 yards of driveway down the back of the house partially opened up. So, I'm going to take the Kawasaki Ridge and see if I can bust some track out to the highway and then get the F350 out. If I can, I'll have to drive into Bend, 50 miles one way, to get an auger belt for the snow blower. They have one left in stock and are holding it for me.
Yesterday went to "%e&l" in a breadbasket in a big hurry. Our dear friend "sister" in Roseburg was taken into Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg by Ambulance. After fluids and blood transfusion, she was deemed stable enough to be life flighted to OSHU in Portland. She in critical condition in the ICU there. We're waiting to hear when she can have visitor and are in close touch with the kids and now that is occupying a bunch of time. We'll probably be heading for OSHU in Portland as soon as we get the word we can see her.
Didn't make it into Bend. They were kind enough to mail the belt I need for the auger. Best laid plans......Got the ridge out and was able to cut trail out to the Highway and bust through the ODOT plow berm. It wasn't enough. The Ridge SxS is only around 2000 lbs. I had 200#'s of pellets in the back of it. The F350 is much heavier. It sunk right through the trail I had cut with the Ridge. I made it out of the pole barn and across the bare ground I had cleared with the snowblower and one truck length down the 'blazed" trail. So, after some digging and with the assistance of the tractor I got that out.
Anyway, the plow on the Kawasaki Ridge does a great job in pretty short order. The problem is that I have to get the dealership to take the cheap piece of scrap metal they put on the Ridge off and put the Kawasaki hydraulic system I ordered on it. I was able to bubblegum, bailing wire and ratchet strap it up enough to use it yesterday. I had to stop and adjust or reinstall my bubble gum modifications every few minutes, However, as long as I could keep it in place it worked like a champ. The Ridge handled the deep snow a lot better than I thought it would and I didn't get stuck once. The locker on the 4X4 is fantastic.
I've come to the conclusion that the Kawasaki Hydraulic system I wanted to start with will be put on the Ridge and the cheap Warn System is going to be removed. I'm more convinced than ever that the Warn Plow, Push Bars & Mount were engineered and made with lower powered quads in mind. The mount was just modified to fit the system onto the different manufactures models and machines. Nothing was done to beef up the support system to handle the increased stress and loads. I talked to Wild Horse in Bend and if Powers won't or doesn't want to do it, Wild Horse will. If Wild Horse does it, then that leaves me stuck dealing with Powers and Warn to get the Warn System returned and refunded. So far, it appears that Powers and Warn are now trying to avoid the issue. Haven't heard anything from them in two weeks.
It is pretty interesting about the snow patterns around here. We can have a bunch and La Pine has patches. Or, we have a bunch, La Pine has a solid blanket but by the time you get to Sun River or slightly north it starts to thin out to patches pretty quickly. La Pine has a lot of housing construction going on. It's really too bad to see that. A lot of Bend is looking in that direction.
