Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Temp bouncing around. Up and down by about 3 degrees/ Currently at 25. About 1-1/2" on the ground here at Alpha compound and its still coming down at a moderate to heavy rate.
Bravo Compound cameras are showing 18° and that we may have to plow our way back in when we get back up there. Doesn't look like we will be getting back up there until at least Sunday right now. We'll need to get back up and switch the pickup out for the car since we'll have to take Sheryl home to Roseburg when they release her from the hospital.
All activity for today has been aborted except for a headlight I need to replace. Should be fun in the snow since the grill has to come out. A little perplexed as both headlamp bulbs were just replaced a couple of months ago. Dual element bulb and both high and low beam are out on the passenger side.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 33 and snow turning to mush. Had some sunshine this morning, but it is gone now. Spent most of the morning ont he phone with the VA then a Veterans Evaluation Services Doctor followed by more phone calls.
Got the front receiver hitch off, grill out and headlight out. The base of the light had separated. Hadn't seen that before. Caused some arcing I guess as the male pins were blue and black and the headlight connector is a little charred. Local NAPA store played the snow game yesterday and stayed home. So I had to put it all back together and run into Mac to get the headlight. Then back home, tear it apart again and get the headlight back in. Silver Thaw and then snow got to be too much so I had to put off reassembly until today. So now I have to go out and put the 350 back together.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. wet and rainy. Been a busy couple of days and not much sign of slowing down for a few days.
Made it to the Sportsmen's Show at the Exp Center in PDX yesterday morning. Then headed on over to OSHU and spent the day/evening at the hospital. Getting ready to head b ack up to the Hospital in a couple of hours. She's doing good, considering, but won't be going home for a bit.
Before we go though, I've got to change the other headlight. Should have changed it the other night when I had stuff off, but it's only been a couple of months and I was really hoping we would be okay....and then there was the snow and silver thaw ice storm and trying to take a shortcut, obviously not okay. I must have really gotten ahold of a pair of bad lights a couple of months ago.
Tomorrow we have to pick up the Kawasaki and plow and head up to /Bravo. Looks like we'll have to plow our way in from the highway. At least I won't have to hike a half mile in the snow to get the equipment, it'll be on the trailer we are towing.
Then, after getting things plowed out, we have to get the car out and head back to Alpha. and get ready to pick up Sherl at the hospital, when ready, and take her home to Roseburg. Have friends and church ladies set up for in home care once we get her home.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 42.3 and wet.
Travel day. We'll be heading out in a couple of hours for Sublimity to pick up the Ridge and then heading up the mountain to plow it out, get the car and come back down here.
