You didn't reuse the copper washers on the brake fitting, did you? They won't seal up a repeatedly. They are a one-time use. Other common issues are cross threading the brake line (usually rendering the fitting useless), tightening the lines too tightly cracking the fitting (rendering it useless), or cracking the brake lines flare in the fitting preventing a seal (necessitating brake line replacement/repair).
No i still haven't done the rear brake cylinders as i need to make sure it will restart after i do the fix, because i have to do it on pavement and it is parked on gravel. I did not touch the master before this happened, the fitting is cracked and it is as simple as that.
Hello me again and i need help badly. Does anyone have a float for a holley 1904 that they could donate to my build as mine completely delaminated into two pieces in my carb bowl so i cant start my truck to move it.
For a quick DIY cost effective approach, you may be able to solder it back up if it is of brass construction. Otherwise, new floats seem to be around $15-20 from various online vendors.
If you desperately need to move the truck under its own power, you can pinch off the fuel line (with locking pliers or similar), manually fill the carburetor bowl with fuel, from the top, and get a short run out of the engine that way.
Mike's Carburetors has replacement brass floats for Holly 1904 carbs in their on-line catalog.. They cost about $40. I've had some fairly recent success (within the last 5 years of so) finding glass bowl Holly carbs in scrapyards. I don't remember exactly what I paid for the complete carbs, but I think they were about $20 each. I was mainly interested in the glass bowls so the internals--like the floats--may not match up to your application.
also to pay for the rebuild i am scrapping these items so if anyone wants them speak now or forever hold your silence

As an old wise man once told me some things must die for others to live.
these parts were in the bed of my 1965 chevy c10 i got from a slum area in texas on ebay auction and hauled up to my place for my first truck
fun story when i cleaned out the truck i found 5 pounds of blow in the bed ( the truck sat for over 35 years in a garage with no door ) dont worry i disposed of it properly by burying it out in the middle of nowhere. 3 feet deep
