yes i used that kit and i am leaving the two separate power systems there but i wanted to know if i should relocate the 12v battery to use cheaper shorter cables or not also i am using self made panels if i fix the rust. i was just wanting your opinion on whether or not i should fix it. i need to replace the 30ft of 2/0 gauge cable for the 12v battery and i want to know if i should relocate the battery to use shorter cables or not.
i didn't use the kit but i found the same parts on evilbay for half the price.
i will take out the gauges and cut out and replace the wires in the dash one at a time to not get it mixed up and i will take out all the gauges except the ammeter and speedometer and will sell them on here as the senders dont work and i have mech gauges already on it and i can also get to the wiper motor to fix it too.
i will soon upload a video of my truck running as i had to move it yesterday after doing a crapload of work to it and it is intimidating to say the least when running.
also i have confirmed the myth that a fe 390 starter case and internals will work on the armature and mounting plate of off of the orignal starter on these trucks and can take 24volts
