Thanks Chris, and good morning to you and all to follow. Still have a little to do on that deck side and the far side of the house. Then I can get back to the truck this fall I hope.
Morning all. Friday #1. Headed to Salem this morning to go get tack in the hot box to get some CDL drive time in. RV heads back to Dayton to the dealership tomorrow morning first thing for warranty work. No idea how long it will take to fix it. I love RV;s.....
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 61.7 and sunny.
We made it back from Bravo Compound on Tuesday afternoon. It's been a whirlwind rotation every since. Had a 2 hour meeting with the Executive Board and the general board meeting at YCSA Tuesday evening about an hour after we got home. That was about the store room and kitchen remodel as well as Security System and possibly firing the current vendor and replacing them with another.
Then working sorting garbage from Goodwill, St. Vincent De Paul items and what is going to Alpha and Bravo Compounds from storage units, with the goal of getting rid of 3 of those storage units in the next 2 weeks. That will save nearly $250 every month.
Also getting security system equipment ordered and secured for our Alpha and Bravo Compounds, two trips to Salem, etc.. I'm going to have about 12 camera's to install up at Bravo Compound betwee 3 buildings. I have several camera's to get installed here at Alpha before we leave again Friday night. Our house sitter pool is drying up and #1 son, DIL and granddaughter will be driving up to Bravo Friday evening with us. They'll be taking the 96 Pickup loaded down and we'll take the 2011 pickup loaded down.. They'll come back on Sunday morning, but we won't be coming back until Tuesday morning. I'll feel better if the Security System at Alpha is up and running before we leave.

My wife is one heck of a shot she would enjoy the heck out of shooting some critters during the day.
Wife and I were born and raised out in the country. She was on a very large Sheep Ranch her family owned out of Leadore Idaho. About as far east in Idaho as you can get without being in Montana. Her mother was off a ranch near Darby Montana. Yeah, very close to the Chief Joseph Ranch which is now famous as the Dutton place on Yellowstone. I came off a multi-use (Horse - Cattle & farming operations) outside Perrydale - Ballston. So we are both basically country kids through and through right from the get-go. We haven't decided if we are getting back to our roots or just entering a 3rd or 4th childhood.
Lots of animal viewing and we are findiing that 90% of our "down time" up there is spent with the TV off and sitting in the chairs staring out the front windows.
This was 0700 Wednesday (yesterday) morning. Of course, it is the day after we came back to the valley! Caught by the 0700 "check in" photo sent by a Cell Game Camera I have set up using as a Security Camera at the moment.
From south end of meadow covering some of the pond and river frontage to the edge of the front porch on guest - rec house.
Conventional Game Cam South, Kitchen - Swing porch with elk right at the edge of the porch, mowing the lawn.
Early Dawn, North Yard, guest / rec cabin from North "Hot Tub" porch.
Pretty good-sized herd with calves moving through the north yard between the main house and the rec/guest house. This is one of the older conventional game cameras that does not have that good of "hidden" flash which also has only a 50' range.

Morning Chris and all to follow. Short day today so I can get back home before the drunkfest people start coming out, oh I mean the Jamboree goers.
