Lin sorry to hear you had a restless night and up way too early. I don't thing a whole pot O coffee would get me through the day! It is Saturday so I would sit back and relax the day away! LOL
Ken have fun with Jonathan today and I agree with you on trying out different sports and see what he likes. I am sure they did it in your One Room School days and they did it in my High School Days. Even though the two sports seasons overlapped some, most of the players were in both sports. They made the schedules and practices so they weren't conflicting!

Hot and Humid in My woods, so what ever outside to be done will be this morning!

What is on the agenda for today?

For me let the yard dry a little and mow before it gets too hot!

 

My agenda today has work and then a quick stop at home and then off to storage to get the trailer. Then back home with that to park it in the yard where it will live until I need it. S

 

Well it IS a beautiful day I will give it that ! low humidity/mugginess and that makes me happy.
I had coffee and went for a walk at 0630. Let the hens out front to roam while I MOWED THE LAWN ! I know, I broke down and did it when it was cool out Then hung out with the Hens and relaxed. They wanted to go into their run so I locked them up, goofed around on puter.
Now I think I will go for a walk in the woods and look for Maitake mushrooms. I had to pull up all the Reishi Mushrooms I had in the yard because there were so many and I couldn't mow a big section because of them.... Darn Medicinal mushrooms

 

Howdy Lin. Sounds like you have had a busy morning so far. My afternoon will be busy with getting my trailer out of storage and moving it to my front yard.

Good early afternoon all...very nice day in Western MA...hope it is in your little slice of heaven as well!!! Football practice went well...in addition to offense and defense...they practiced special teams. Despite getting kids from 4 different school systems...there are only about 25 kids on the team. If Jonathan decides to continue playing football...he'll get plenty of playing time. As far as I know...there is only one other freshman playing. Kids just don't play football any more.

I'm thinking this afternoon will be full of slacking goodness. Hope it's the same where you are!!!

Good afternoon Rod...hope you have a great day!!! Jonathan is passionate about basketball...he plays it year round...sometimes on multiple teams at the same time. He likes football as well...although he's not passionate about it. As long as he keeps up his academics...there should be no issue with the overlapping sports. Coming right after football will be High School basketball season.

The thing I loved about my one room school house was the pot bellied stove in the middle of the room.

Wasn't that Ken. Just woke up for no reason at all. Took me a bit to get back to sleep each time.

 

I hate it when that happens. Lunch time...ham and cheese on a water roll.

 

Sounds good Ken. Yeah. I dont usually get up at night. But every now and then I just wake up or have nights where I just cant fall asleep and stay asleep.

 

What cha gonna put on the trailer .. hmmmm?

No mushrooms picked Ken, was just out to see if a certain kind was starting to come out.. alas it is not.

 

Nothing on the trailer Lin. Just moving it home because my storage place jacked the rates up 10 bucks extra a month. So cutting an expense out of the budget to get a bit more fun money at the end of the month.
