Can they tell you if it travels exclusively by convoy? If so, who is the shipping company? Maybe we can research them. If they have a job opening for a driver, perhaps you can apply? Haha, ok not funny.
LOL…. Not a bad idea. Dealer says exclusively by convoy… not sure who the company is. After speaking to the dealership owner, sound like he specifically requested direct convoy to him, versus a rail loop / convoy out of Cincinnati. That probably has a lot to do with this delay now that I have that info……
On the purgatory tracker about 1/2 the data was manually entered. On the 22, only the STP date. Part of the data is deciphered by the VIN and the rest from Ford database.
I'd love to find a way to integrate the CSX and UP rail tracking data, but so far no luck.. I would need a CSX account..
I'm working from home mostly, so sadly haven't even driven the truck in a few days.. Cleaning out my garage so I can fit it in.
So I’m sure it’s mentioned somewhere, but do we know the meaning for the “Ramp One” box?
Mine says RA20.

Interesting. I would think if it was Jack Cooper, your vin would show as a scheduled trip.
I think it's critical to determine who the transport company is.

That seems to be the geographic location of the hub for your local dealers. In other words, the final distribution point before they are loaded on car carriers to your dealership (and other dealerships in your area)....or at least as far as I can tell.
It also seems that a dealership may have 1 hub for certain vehicles and another hub for other types of vehicles.

I think I’ve complained enough…. Have a communication now that they plan to put it on a rail car tomorrow, then convoy from the depot in Cincinnati. That’s what Ford wanted to do in the first place….. sigh.

That's good news. Plus it eliminates a lot of the uncertainty. Makes you wonder how long it would have taken them to figure out if you did not get involved.

I would be nice if we had a map/reference as to where these things are located. If you want to start yet another spreadsheet (and am sure you do, right) my dealer tells me my truck will come the ramp in Hapeville, GA and ride a truck about 30 miles from there. My Ramp One is CA20. So there is your first data entry.

My thought exactly. Might have been a long wait yet to get a truck more direct to my dealer.

I would like to do this, and I've thought about it. I think I really need to start with a list of all 3000 U.S. Ford dealers.
This website offers what I am looking for, but charges.
It even has the dealer number, which would be nice.
If anyone is able to provide me with a list of all US Ford dealers, then we can add the ramp codes and then we can identify which ones get the trucks delivered fast and which ones take longer.
I'll somehow need to make it interactive so I can get help with adding the ramp codes.
May even be able to tie in the delivered truck tab to relay average delivery days for each ramp.
My understanding is a Regional zone manager can get a priority of 2. I wouldn't accept anything less.
It's odd that this vin replies with data still. I think I'll leave it on and see what happens.
And my confusion still continues even after going round and round with the dealer yesterday.
Just for grins I clicked on the Mach-E site and checked to see if anything changed on the canceled order.
There's a status change at the top stating: 2022 Ford Superduty (F-350 Platinum) is estimated to be delivered to dealer in NaN days.
I'm not sure what NaN days mean? Has anyone seen this?
Fords vehicle order tracking page doesn't show any change. Wonder if the canceled order is just sitting out there in the cloud or what? Man....Ford needs to get their ordering act together. I guess I'll just sit back and wait a day before I explode.
