VIN assignment

How long from the time I place my order that my VIN is generated? Is that something that my dealer will have or does Ford email it to me in an update email?

I got my email with VIN and build week about a week after the confirmation email. They emailed when built and shipped as well.

The VIN is generated when your build is scheduled. Could be a couple weeks could be a couple of months. A lot of it depends on your build and what options you have and the availability of Ford to be able to build a truck with those options.

Can anyone who has received a 2022 F-350 verify what size rear end block it has. I believe there has been a few changes over the last couple of years and would like to verify what the 2022 are. What size front end lift will be needed to make truck completely level? If there is already a thread about this for 2022 that someone knows of can you send the link. NOT TREMOR standard 6.7 short box 350.

CHEERS!

i noticed every time the truck progressed the date at the bottom changed for example it arrived in Lordstown on 8/26 and the sticker changed from 8/19 when it left the previous rail yard. Then on 9/2 it changed and that is when it was loaded onto the carrier and delivered. Maybe if someone who gets a VVR screenshot regularly from their dealer and see if the date changes matches the movements

All those dates are Thursdays. I'd like to believe something is happening when that bottom date updates, but sadly, I think it's just the version date of the WS.

Do you think we can expect more 9/7 STP dates or 9/8's tomorrow, this week?
Just wondering as I have a 9/14 build DAY and see nothing here or on the trackers.
Also, are all you that have a 9/7 STP also have the COVP? My dealer (salesman) didn't know about it (or was too lazy to fill it out.

Did you get the 9/14 date recently? A lot of people were pushed back a few days. I went from 9/12 to 9/15 a few days ago. You may want to check with your dealer to see if you’ve got a new date.

I didn’t do the COVP, but I ordered back in April, long before it went into effect.

In a normal week, we see trucks go "in production" M-F. Last week, none. I suspect, now that a lot have changed status yesterday, we will see more throughout the rest of this week.

I got it last Friday, but the date the VVR was updated was 8/20 showing the 9/14 build date.
I asked the dealer for an updated VVR...we'll see.
