They had earlier given me a build date 8/11 so when I didn't see a status change I started to question them. Before that I wasn't hounding, bugging.

Anyway according to my sales guy one of their sales managers (who is no longer with them...yeah ok) canceled the order by mistake, on purpose or whatever...who knows it got canceled 7/30. I actually had to tell them the order had been canceled for some reason....sheesh. He's trying to get me slotted quickly because of the screw-up but can't give me an answer of when or how. I'm not sure if there is a way Ford allows you to jump to the front of the line in a case like this. I've put in my waiting period starting 3/26. When the build date came and went with no action I texted asking them about it. They didn't have an answer and didn't see the order was canceled a couple of weeks before that. Sales guy said the Sales manager who is no longer working for them flat lied to him....yeah ok maybe. The only reason I'm sticking with them so far is the chance they might be able to get me scheduled quicker because of the screw-up Need an answer for that quick or soon or I'm moving to a different dealer. F**k I was even clicking through Ram's web site but went ehhh when I saw the 6 speed tranny. First ever Ford for me, I've been a Chevy guy but they don't offer adaptive cruise in their HD trucks yet which I want so I'm trying Ford this time. The Ford shopping experience hasn't been good.

Anyway I guess I need to be removed off the sheet until I get my vin# on this new order. Ahhhh curve ***** like these keep the brain working.
My understanding is a Regional zone manager can get a priority of 2. I wouldn't accept anything less.

It's odd that this vin replies with data still. I think I'll leave it on and see what happens.

On 8/12 I got my scheduled to week of 9/6 email. Then, on August 27th, CybermanD confirmed my day of production as 9/7!

So, I first noticed my truck was “In Production” Monday, 8/30, on the Mach E tracker. Later that night the Ford tracker also changed to “In Production.” Then, the next morning (8/31) I was able to pull up my window sticker from both sites! The date in the bottom corner of the window sticker is 8/31, which as I understand it is the “Sent to plant” date, and would match up with me getting my window sticker and the trackers changing to In Production.

On the spreadsheet that @Phoenixfla has created my name moved up into the “In Production” section, however a date has yet to populate under the “sent to plant” column. It looked like the dates usually appeared the day after, so I figured it would have shown up yesterday since it was 8/31, but it still hasn’t populated.

Also, over on the BOF I have seen 2 folks state that they have gotten an email stating their build week has been moved from 9/6 to 9/13…. I haven’t gotten that email, and I have asked if theirs was already in production with a visible window sticker but haven’t heard back. I also read where the KTP will be down to 2 shifts the next 2 weeks (9/6 and 9/13).

So, all that to ask, should I be concerned since the “sent to plant” date hasn’t populated on the spreadsheet, even though my status is “in production” and I do have window stickers?

Edit: After going back and looking at the spreadsheet, I see at least one other truck that doesn’t have a “sent to plant” date but has an actual “production” date of 9/1… so maybe I just getting nervous for no reason! Lol.

Unfortunately the STP date is not in the Ford data, so I have to manually review each window sticker as they become and add them to the spreadsheet. It's a bit of a hassle, but that date tell us so much that it is worth it.

ETA - your window sticker still not pulling up for me. I'll check later today.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize that’s how that column populated. FWIW, the date in the bottom corner (not at the bottom of the page) states 8/31/2021.

Thanks man!

That’s interesting it’s not working for you. It’s worked for me from both the Ford tracker and the Mach E tracker so I got it. I don’t know if this link will work, but here it is:

No problem, I just added yours.

I wish all the WS data was available on the Ford database. I'd like to make more sense of the sequence numbers at the top. I thought about adding those columns, but then that's a lot of data to manually enter for every window sticker.

Thanks. I’m still curious why it wouldn’t pull up for you though. So what’s the next column that auto populates? The production date?

And yeah I wonder what all that other stuff means too… I didn’t realize that you manually entered so much though… if I were you with that brand new truck sitting outside would make it hard for me to be inside on the computer! Lol. I’ve got so much stuff just waiting to be i stalled once I get mine! 😁

Anyway, thanks again for the help and the updates.

When you get to your release date (i.e., the truck is built and ready to roll) you’d THINK it would ship in a timeframe similar to ALL the other trucks released on the spreadsheet!! I have the dubious distinction of shattering the spreadsheet record for time between release date and ship date. When the average is 2 - 3 days, and mine is on day 16…. Well, there are only four options….. AND - it’s only freakin shipping to southern Ohio…..

1) they just decided to not ship my truck
2) they lost it on the KTP property
3) it was stolen from the KTP property
4) it was mechanically or physically damaged en-route to being loaded and they are now in the very complicated process of repairs.

The shipping invoice to Palsapp was also created on the 18th….. they still show it at the KTP and in “pending” status…..

What is ticking me off is that Ford and my dealer will not TELL me what happened to my truck, which makes me even more certain that it was damaged. NO TRUCKS get released then simply not shipped. Fifty-six trucks built at my build week or later on the spreadsheet have been delivered or are in transit…. Geesh@!#l*@! I’m venting, but I think this is at a point that I deserve to know exactly what happened……. Am I over-reacting????? I REALLY don’t want a truck that has sustained significant damage!!!

Doug - I would tell the dealer to give you status or cancel the order.

*** Edit *** - I just heard that another Illinois F-250 was built and shipped last week through Chicago and was delivered yesterday to a dealer 40 miles south......my dealer right on the way if my truck was on the transporter.
I'm starting to think that something happened to my truck en-route. Some kind of damage or issue. Is disclosure required if damage happens en-route?

I just reached my dealer. He is convinced that it is a truck/driver availability issue on mine…. But I don’t understand how that would affect only my truck….. we should see many more two- to-three week delays between release date and ship date if that were a persistent issue; It should not only effect my truck. He did say that dealers are notified of any damage to a vehicle exceeding $150…. So if that is true it makes me feel a little better. Again, I don’t mind waiting, but I dong like the idea of not knowing what’s going on with my truck as it sits at the plant. Even my email from Ford on the 19th said to expect about 5 days to shipping. I almost wish it were a parts issue and it was stuck “in production”,…. I think that would be easier to understand.

On the purgatory tracker about 1/2 the data was manually entered. On the 22, only the STP date. Part of the data is deciphered by the VIN and the rest from Ford database.

I'd love to find a way to integrate the CSX and UP rail tracking data, but so far no luck.. I would need a CSX account..

I'm working from home mostly, so sadly haven't even driven the truck in a few days.. Cleaning out my garage so I can fit it in.

Not picked up yet

Has anyone ordered a F250 that's been 2+ months and the dealership is saying your order still isn't picked up yet?

Can they tell you if it travels exclusively by convoy? If so, who is the shipping company? Maybe we can research them. If they have a job opening for a driver, perhaps you can apply? Haha, ok not funny.

....but would the dealer then disclose the damage to us customers or run it through their body shop for several days and then create some fictitious malarky about a shipping problem to explain the delay?
