4 months, 1200 miles of rail travel (to go 300), lost and then found, survived 10-days in Beirut IL (aka Chicago), by hook and by crook........it was just delivered to my dealer. Going over later to inspect.
This is even more interesting to me based on my 20 day delay at the factory. Is it coincidental that it was released the day after I asked to speak to the regional rep? I had a feeling they forgot about mine too. The one thing I am sure of is that they will never tell me.
Great news that you’ll finally have your truck soon Doug!!!
Did you get the # for the Regional Rep? If so, send it my way. It will be a nice thing to have in my back pocket if I need to jump through the same hoops as you.
Not that I should worry yet....today is only 2 weeks since order confirmation.
I'm hoping to enlist all of your help again. I was able to locate what appears to be a list of all the rail yard locations and if they load or unload a particular brand of vehicle at that location. Here is a link.
I've converted that list into a Google Docs spreadsheet and removed anything that wasn't a Ford location or that showed multiple. Hopefully this is a pretty good list of all the locations that trucks are offloaded at.
What I need from you, is if you know the location that your truck was taken off the train and put on a car carrier - provide me that location (which is hopefully one of the facilities on the spreadsheet) plus the ramp code on your window sticker.
If I could build a database of all the ramp codes it would be very helpful. Each location could have more than one code. I'm not sure yet. I believe at least one ramp code for Taft, FL (Orlando) is CF29. I've filled that one in on the spreadsheet.
If successful, we can correlate the built truck delivery dates to the ramp codes to see which locations are fast to deliver to their final location, and which ones are slow.

Thanks!
The ramp codes appear to be four characters based on my sample size of THREE and I wonder if the first character is the rail line with C=CSX in your case. When I ordered my F-150 that was built in KC, the Ramp One code was CW3H and the truck was delivered to Pensacola, FL. but if I recall they told me it got off the train in Jacksonville and was trucked from there. I have another WS for a different truck also delivered to the same dealer and it has Ramp One = CC15 and Ramp Two = CW3H. We might be able to see some trends with more data points.

Reason: added info for a third WS
So this may not be any help... but my Ramp One code is RA20. My dealer told me that most likely my truck will take a rail to either Memphis, TN, Nashville, TN or Birmingham, AL. Also, FWIW, my dealer is Long Lewis Ford in Corinth, MS. Hopefully I will be able to clarify which it came from in just a few weeks!
Until then though, anyone else have a RA20 that stopped in one of these locations?

I believe the C or R being the first digit corresponds to Convoy or Rail. As you probably know, however, just because it says Convoy doesn't mean that it doesn't start on a train..
I'm just going to focus on Super Duties, because dealers may receive one model from one distribution point and another model from a different one.
This may not be an easy project, but with some help,, I think we can make progress.
If anyone is able to retrieve a list of all business filed under a particular SIC code (5511) please pick up a red courtesy phone.
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes are four-digit numerical codes that categorize the industries that companies belong to based on their business activities.
I am looking for a list of all Ford dealers, and I think this may be the key.
I can purchase a list online, but the cost is $75.
Hey, also, do you think including the Ramp number on the tracking spreadsheet would be of any help?
Yeah, that would help. Unfortunately it's not in the Ford data base, so I would have to manually add them when window stickers become available. I'm trying to avoid manual entry fields.
I could make it a user submitted item, but I feel like people must be getting tired of too many forms?

Maybe this has already been talked about....but I am curious why the options that were on the unscheduled sheet didn't carry over to the scheduled sheet. I am interested in knowing how many Sport appearance Pkgs are really in production or through production. Does anyone think this option could delay a truck? What about black appearance pkg?
