I wonder how many people would do a factory pickup, given the opportuinity.
I would have gladly jumped a flight to Louisville and drive home the 12 or so hours. Heck, it would be in my garage right now if that was and option, instead of on a train.
I guess the problem is that you don't know when its going to be built, until its already built. Plus post-production options could take 1,2,3 or more days. You could not book a flight until Ford said "its ready". So then they would have to store them until you get there. If it was too popular it would be a big operation to manage. They would probably have to show you the truck and all its quirks and features like a good salesperson would do. Ok, i guess it may not be too practical.
I guess i'm talking myself out of it, damit.
I’d go for that, especially if they started factory tours! But they don’t, so there it is.
I see the list is now sorted by user supplied date ( i know, week) and there are about 10 dated 8/30 that will hopefully be sent to the plant this week - mine included. Crossing my fingers!

I would. Im about 6 hours away... I'd bet I could make it up there in 5 though! lol...
I feel ya / hear ya on that...instead of make the direct 4 hour drive from KTP to St. Louis mine went up to Chicago by rail and is sitting in a rail yard up there. What is even more frustrating is seeing other trucks (DRWs) built on or after mine being delivered to dealers further than mine...arrrggg....some much of this is luck of the draw!
Received an email from Ford at around 2:30am stating my truck had been built. No updates on spreadsheet but I did finally get the Ford tracker to work and confirm built status!
Yes, it left bound for Birmingham Alabama August 19th at 9 p.m. the next day it was bound for Manchester Georgia and left at 8 p.m. in the next day on the 21st it left for Baldwin Florida at 9 a.m. and arrived at 8 p.m. and has been there since.
I figured it will arrive at the Tampa Depot somewhere around midweek and take up to one more week to deliver to my dealer. Maybe more maybe less.

it's back up for me, same with Ford order site. Tracking Spreadsheet is still back-filling data.

Sorry if I'm being dense here. All my data with the exception of build week / 9-13 is now missing. Is this what you mean by back-filling data? Should I be concerned about something being wrong now?
Thanks!

Try tracking on ford's website. Mine returns a system error. It appears this is kind of normal based on previous posts. It should return today..."Should"
So it seems Ford is getting more efficient in shipping after 3rd party installs? I have about everyone in the book and mine shipped 4 days after being "built".
Thanks for broadcasting the short turnaround with heavy options, helps balance out the others. 1st time seeing my color combo, fortunate to be among this group!
Well crap, unless the tracking is screwed up, I have a stuck truck. Been “awaiting shipment” since the 18th, and now the trucks coming after me are shipping……. Two steps forward….. three back….. and I’m only a six day in transit estimate…. UGH!!!! Palsapp shows my VIN and an invoice number….. but “null” for destination and “pending” for status…..

Most dates on the tracker are 24 hours delayed, so maybe it shipped today. Is it coming by rail any part of the way? A Transit of 6 days is pretty quick.

Thanks! No - it’s truck all the way. I probably just need to chill…. LOL….
