I got my order confirmation on 18 October for a F350 Platinum 6.7 SB SRW. I ordered it with the Adaptive Steering option before I knew to research the option availability here. Now that I’m older and wiser, I have asked my salesman to update my order and remove the 60A option. From what I’ve seen, I have no other show stoppers in my build (i.e. no spray in bedliner), and I hope to get my new truck before the midterm elections.
Will this modification change my position in the queue for building my truck? Specifically, does that essentially make my new order date today vice back in October?
Will my order modification also result in a price change, other than the reduction due to deleting the $1,000 option?
Thanks so much,
Joe
p.s. I hope my first post here asking potentially obvious questions doesn’t get me flamed too intensely.

I have called my Dealer twice in the last two months and both times he has informed me that their were no commodity issues,,, I have a F350 Lariat on order since August. SBCC, 6.7, Ultimate/Chrome package, LED Package, As, Spray in Bedliner, Hard Folding Bed Cover, Etc. Etc. I’m not cancelling anything and will wait it. I hope I get it by March or before.

This is what I found on another site from last Tuesday’s update which is why I am canceling my AS. In looking at the updates dating back to the spring, AS has been problematic throughout for all Super Duties. My guess is that if they have any capability to get the necessary parts, they’re going into Limiteds where it’s standard equipment and not an option.

I have also seen info kicking around stating the same. I dont know who to believe. I was at my Dealer looking over the shoulder of a manager who had the Ford Order Screen pulled up. He told ne no comnodity issues however, when I aske him when he thought I would get the Truck he said March. When I initiallly ordered my Truck on August 20th it was for a F250 but realized shortly after my needs required the F350. So the order was completely changed in the system by August 30th.
I spec'd this Lariat out to the max as I hope to keep it for atleast 200,000 miles or more. I have been tempted to cancel some options in hopes to get it scheduled for a build date but their is no guarantee it will get built sooner. I will just wait it out in hopes I see a Feb 2022 delivery time frame...

From my experience, it has an inside data pull, and got data before anything else. Sometimes by a matter of hours, sometimes almost a day.
The outside data source that Mach-E and the spreadsheet and other users were able to access by pulling raw data and parsing/manipulating that data into other formats for easier consumption is what is affected right now. That outside data source has been throwing an error code for days now that looks like it may have been ... for lack of a better description... shut off to the outside (us). With each day going by, I'm losing faith that it will ever come back.
I'd suggest keep hitting your Ford tracker for order status. The data you don't get from that alone is the high level view that the spreadsheet gave ... average durations from "In Production" to "Built", durations from "Built" to "Shipped" and stuff like that. When mine came through, moving to "In Production" was about 8 days before its birth. Keep checking in around then and I can also confirm that my VIN became "alive" in FordPass app on that day it was built. (can't activate it though) It could then be shipped next day (no outside options) or in my case 4 days later (5th prep, mud guards, bug deflector, spray in bedliner).
As my wife didn’t particularly care for the Limited’s interior, and I really didn’t care either way, I built and we ordered a Platinum. Initially with the Adaptive Steering. It’s being deleted today in the hope that I can get my build completed sooner rather than later. If the AS is truly unavailable, and since it’s a standard feature on the Limited, there’s no doubt that they are either not offering or are strongly discouraging them being ordered.
