Bullseye
Funny ive got that in my ears as we speak
Congrats on the successful fire, lookin forward to the video!
I finally figured out how to post a video on youtube. In the next week or so I'll get the stand outside so I can get better angles on video, then upload more video.
Edit: The light blinking is the timing light. It's mounted on the side of the radiator. Since this video, I fixed the valve cover leaks by putting the cork gaskets back on. I'll find a better set of gaskets.
Thank you Ronzi. I'm excited about it. And looking forward to getting time to move it outside for better, 360 degree walk around video.
After getting timing, and idle mixture dialed in, the engine is making 13" of vacuum at idle. It might make a little more once the rings are fully seated. For me, 13" of vacuum is bottom of the scale for vacuum brake boosters, so I did what I've been wanting to do since I bought the truck,.....I ordered a hydraboost kit yesterday. Even though the 400 that's in the truck makes 20" of vacuum, I'll install the hydraboost before I swap engines.
Red, the Delta guys I know, aren't quite that loud. In fact, they're deadly silent. I was thinking, "Big Baby" or "Voodoo Chile".
True on the Force. My thought is they bring it at the drop of a hat and you live down there in Mississippi Delta country but I like Voodoo Chile too. Good call on the Hydroboost and a Saginaw pump too.

I'm embarrassed that I didn't pick up on the "Mississippi Delta" reference. I'm in SW MS, which is hill country. Very little row cropping around here.
The BBF's ive built all seemed to like cork V/C gaskets, I liked to glue them to the valve covers for easy removal for valve adjustments etc. Only issue i ever had was overtightening stamped steel valve covers and warping them causing leaks.
