Less oil is better for all the rubber parts of cooling system.
Make sure we talk when when you get ready to flush and clean your cooling system - I have some recommendations that make it a little easier than the commonly quoted procedure.
Nathan would be a great addition to the forum. I know I was glad to have his help and knowhow at my place.
I will try the oil cooler fix before messing with the injectors for sure.
Thanks to you all once more!

1. Battery voltage with key off. 12.6 volts. Turned key on to listen for fuel pump. Glow plug relay clicked, fuel pump came on, but was very quite. Voltage Drop to 11.1. Now, battery charger was hooked and had been hooked up for a while. We cranked it once to see how it sounded. To my inexperienced ears, it sounded like something in the passenger side block was Broken.
2. We hooked up the fuel pressure tester constructed by SkySkiJason's instructions to the back of the fuel bowl's drain valve and opened the valve. Turning the key on, we saw the pressure rise to 60 psi. Cranking the engine again we saw the fuel psi drop to 55. Acceptable. Fuel pump and pressure is good. But with two battery chargers on the batteries and my charger showing voltage, we listened and watched as battery voltage fell to 9 volts.
3. Unhooked passenger side battery, turned key and voltage dropped to 11.2 volts and would still crank the engine over. Unhooked driver side battery and connected passenger side battery. When the key was turned this time battery voltage began falling and would not stop descending just from the glow-plugs. Nathan stilled try to crank the engine, but would not turn over. This was our battery load test and reviled a weak battery. We removed weak battery and put one of mine in its place. Engine would crank great but still not starting.
4. oil injection pressure? My scanner was the last of 3 and the only one that would connect to the vehicle. The one Nathan has was $$$$ and is suppose to be able to connect to anything. Even Flying Saucers. From my scanner we saw the injection pressure level out at 2300psi when cranking the engine.
5. I had a new Motorcraft CPS. We installed it and tried to test the one that was in it. My limited knowledge left this test inconclusive.
Oil level-good
Fuel and fuel pressure-good
Batteries and voltage -good
Oil injection pressure-good
Crank Positioning Sensor-Not Applicable- New one installed.
At this point we all started thinking electrical connection issues.
6. We removed the UVCH connectors from both passenger and driver side. Word of wisdom. Without a splice in connector, this test at this location is almost impossible to do alone. We found that all 8 glow-plugs will ohm from the pins to the metallic parts of the engine. The injectors have a common wire. One for each bank of injectors and would and should ohm through this common only which is the very center pin. All glow-plugs and the passenger side injectors ohm to zero. The driver side injector wires were completely open. We removed everything necessary to access the valve area and discovered the wiring harness partially disconnected.
7. The decision was made to replace the under cover wiring harness gasket.
When we got everything put back together, the truck started like it had been shut off for 10 minutes instead of 2 and a half months.
While we were working on it, Rob's dad came out and in a loud voice asked me, "You Know What's Wrong With It"? I didn't know what to say, because I didn't know what was wrong with it. He spelled out the letters, " F O R D ". I didn't get to ask him what was wrong with it now after we had it running, but I can imagine his answer. " Its still a Ford."
I learned a lot. I meet a stranger on FTE. He needed some help. I needed a challenge and adventure. We are separated by 137 miles but are now Neighbors and Friends. Rob, you are thankful for the help. I am thankful you said Okay. God Bless you, Crystal, Corbin, your newborn and your Dad.

I've been hearing that all my life! I keep telling him he needs some new jokes, but he's 77, survived a war, survived a quadruple bypass, has congestive heart failure, his kidneys function at 25%, and he has early stage dementia. He doesn't care what I think about his jokes. I am just happy he walked that far. That's not easy for him to do, and if the chance to tell his worn out old joke got him to do it, then I will be happy to hear it a thousand times more.
