dying 7.3
I have a 2000 F-350 superduty dually with 7.3 6 speed manual trans. yesterday I went to the truck and it would not start, just crank over. after cranking enough to build oil pressure it still would not start. after three or four tries it did start and ran fine in the drive. but after about a half of mile it died while going down the road, but restarted just by letting in roll. When it died the tach went to zero,but the motor was still turning over. any ideas what it might be. I need all the help I can get to figure this one out.

well I guess I will order a new cps. by looking at the pictures it looks like it is easier to change from the bottom. I will try my luck at this as soon as I get my new one in. thanks for all you help everyone.

dying 7.3
called my local ford dealer today just to find out the price on cps. couldn't hardly believe it when he told me it was just $22.10 plus tax with no freight. and that is for the new cps with part number ending with B. Just thought people might want to try the dealer in their town and possibly save a buck or two.
