7.3 dying

I took my 1996 ford f250 7.3 powerstroke down the road to get it inspected. Started up and ran good. Got to the inspection place and shut the truck off. Inspector went to start the truck and would start and then shut off within a couple of seconds. I towed it home and tried to start it and fired right up and didnt shut off. What would this be? I figure something is going out

Have you check if your cps is god? (camshaft position sensor)

How do you check to see if the cps is good?
