Even more ridiculous when you consider that ford is now in last place when it comes to capability.

We don’t know the full capability numbers yet. I think Ford will be #1 in a few categories. The other is like you said- transmission. I would think the larger turbos ect would up the diesel price some, then lastly just like everything else , tarriffs , Inflation, ect.....a 5% increase isn’t crazy with a few new improvements included. I think it’s probably not a large increase at all.

Yep I got concerned when I saw the King Ranch build was 86k and thats what a Limited started at last year. They reaching for the moon! X-plan is $89,345 for my build. All the driver assist stuff was standard on the limited before, so that shouldn't cause the base price to increase. Looks to be just the 5th wheel prep included and the rest is what they want for the refresh lol.

Ive used it a few times in the past.
I thought that wasn’t available in the DRW?

you've had your DRW on steep dirt or gravel ?

I’ve never had my DRW in a predicament off road where I would need that feature. And certainly never would pulling my 5th wheel.

I do have one camp trip we do every year where I use 4wd low to have better control on a hard packed gravel road. Don’t really need to use low but do need the 4wd. The low just makes it an easier job for the truck.

Hill descent uses the brakes and traction control to maintain a less then 12 mph speed down steep hills.
We cant get the electric locking axle which is what I would guess using “traction control” is used for.

If if you are referring to hill hold, that came in my truck even though it was listed as not available at the time.

I have it on my 2017 F350 DRW.
I like to go voiging off long dirt roads up to the tops of mountains to see out from the fire towers. Will I do it in this truck ? I don't know !!! But If I don't have it l can't play with it. I also wanted the skid plates so the only thing I really don't need is the Rancho Shocks.
I also put in the trailer TPMS & Camera just incase !!!
I already have all of that on my RV but not sure if the truck will be missing something in the display system if i don't order it. also the 12 pin plug in the bed won't be in the bed or at least in the kit. So I'm playing it safe. If I find I have everything I need I can try to sell it to who ever buys my F350.

2017 F350 Platnium DRW for sale !!!

Ford ditched the Ranchos after the 17's, the FX4 shocks are just black shocks that look the same as on any non FX4 equipped truck.

Has anyone noticed that you can't get a Limited in silver spruce anymore? That's a huge bummer because I was really looking forward to a silver spruce limited 450. So much so that's it's got me guessing if I even want to order one now.

Ugh. 2019 F350 is 11,500. So if GM is 12,200, 600lbs more than Ford, but let’s say the GM truck weighs 700lbs more, you are better off with the ford with 100lbs extra in payload. GCVW isn’t always the higher number wins.

Interesting....thought since they did away with them for the FX4 that Ford would have partnered with someone else on these.

So when did that change?

’cause my white, rancho decal’ed shocks were clearly stamped Motorcraft at the bottom.
