It looks like that suspension came through right at the right time.

I love it when things come together like that, timing is everything

Nice job on the body work. For that area over the headlight you might try one of these;

For now I’m trying to keep the patina as much as possible. Sorta therapeutic banging on old metal.

I hear ya.
It might be wroth a try. A friend of mine used one, although he made a longer cross bar, I guess you use a hot glue gun to stick the center piece to the steel, when you're done some rubbing alcohol take it right off. If you can get it to stick to the rusty metal it might work.

I bang on my sheet metal from time to time. Whats nice about the "patina" is I don't' have to worry about scratching the paint....lol

For that dent above the headlight use a piece of hardwood used like a chisel. Round over the edges of the hardwood and tape the other end with a hammer..just keep working at it...

Thanks John. I was thinking a piece of 2X4 but hardwood would be better.

Well back at the shop finally. Spent most of the day cleaning up but did manage to get a few things accomplished. Had a set of 6” outtie wheels sandblasted last week and managed to prime and paint them. Wanted to powder coat them but $75 @ is just too much, besides this way if I decided regal red isn’t right I’m only out $20 in spray paint. Thanks Donald (Tucson) for the idea to just paint them. Just a FYI they took about a can apiece of color.

Regal Red 6” wide 5 X 5 1/2 15” wheels.

Thanks John. Looking to replicate all 4 wheels and tires to the one that came on it originally. Well bigger tires and rims.

No John, it’s stuffed in the shop next to the 53 Panel. I’ve got everything to get it going except time. The 53 is in the way so it’s got priority.
Here’s the last shot of the 56 I’ve got. Oh yeah that’s another 56 frame leaning on it.

I'd be more inclined to do the 56 first if I had one...
