We've been customers of McMaster-Carr for many many moons --- they really have quite the selection and it seems we get most of the stuff next day or 2nd day....................I recommend them.
Yep, I've been dealing with them on a professional and personal basis for almost 40 years. The pricing can be a little high but the one warehouse is driving distance away. I typically get things the next day, Monday if I order Sat morning. And the return policy is phenomenal, no time limit, no questions asked.
I used a ratchet strap to the frame rails to hold up the tranny. I just used a chain diagonally across, to pull the engine. I made a little cone out of thin metal (like a soda can) to make a guide for the torque converter. I put tape on the harmonic balancer and marked (and numbered) where the converter bolts were for torquing.

Could you explain that? I can't get my head around doing that.
Today I got halfway thru relocating some overhead fluorescent lighting in the garage, and will be replacing them with two LED flat panel lights. Each panel is 2' x 4' and puts out 6250 lumens. I may be wearing sunglasses during the engine pull.
The propane powered forced air heater arrived 2 days ago. It puts out great heat for its compact size, and should make this winter engine pull a lot more comfortable.
Got a new 3/4" drive torque wrench, a longer breaker bar and some more goodies to help with the project.
A handy little tool to use for the upper starter bolt is this extension with a magnet. I used this coupled with another 6" extension. This little thing is great for a lot of things on the 6.0 where dropping bolts and nuts are critical. https://store.snapon.com/Adaptors-Ma...r-P631048.aspx

Torque converter nuts...I know they are a flanged nut and the socket size is 14mm. I can't find the thread size and pitch, or part number. Do any of you know the part number?
