Well ended up calling Texas drive shaft specialists and they gave me a part number for a moog u joint. Ordered it at my local parts store and it fit perfectly. Now I just half to get the yoke swapped on my tcase with the F350 one and I’ll finally have 4wd drive again.
Well now that that’s done I’m gonna get a new lpop seal and throw my spare water pump on and while it’s tore down reseal my intake plenums. And hopefully install my intercooler hopefully I can get all this done fairly soon.
Also on another note what do you guys think of mahle gaskets looking at a set for my other motor for when I go to put it together or should I stick to ford. Probably will don’t wanna cut any corners on this thing. For now I’ve gotta slow the leaking down on this motor.
Glad you got your 4wd figured out. Nothing wrong with mahle gaskets. That's what swamps uses on their performance engine builds. It's what I'm using on mine.
The axle side apparently the drive shaft side is the small version of a 1330 joint atleast that’s what the guy from the driveline place said. Anyway I’m just glad it all works good since 2013 it’s not worked correctly I’ve had it working. But I had wrong shifter and it didn’t go into low but that was before the axle swap. Funny thing is that I’ve only really needed 4wd a hand full of times but now that I have it probably won’t have a reason to use it for a good while.
Well after doing some investigating turns out my spare engine does have a 96 timing cover on it I just assumed that because motor was from a bus that they used the 95 cover. But it might have been a late 95 which is good news in my case won’t half to swap covers. I’m still going to get as gasket set and reseal it while it’s out I don’t wanna skip anything on this engine. Which it’s still on the back burner till I get some extra cash and mine lined out. I ordered the lpop seal so should be here today so plan is to tare into it this weekend and get water pump and front main seal done. And if all goes well reseal the intake plenums if all goes well may try to mount intercooler to.
Well guys tore my truck down swapped water pump and threw in new crank shaft seal everything went together smoothly. Atleast I thought started truck up and front main is leaking worse. The harmonic balancer already had a repair sleeve on it. Which it looked perfectly fine but apparently I either nicked the seal or it’s not. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do is the repair sleeve replaceable. Has anyone ran into this same issue.

Agreed, Mahle makes great stuff. They are on mine, too. I also use Elring, Victor Reinz, etc.
Looks to be replaceable going to try anyway just been busy with other stuff have been driving our shop truck that where fixing to sell. But hopefully I’ll get it in this week to get it fixed I’ll post results then.
