@Mkos1980 Thanks, there are lights for the side cubbie holes as well on the 17 isn't there, and what about inside the console is that supposed to change? Trying to figure out what all they did wrong with mine before I go back. Thanks
You will have a light in each door cubby, a light by each door handle, 1 under each seat, 1 under each side of the dash and the cupholder.
I have a 19 platinum with fixed ambient lighting. Was wondering if i could order the 17-18 year rgb lights and just swap everything out and do the forscan changes. And everything just be plug and play, will it be that easy?
Ok I didn't know that so thanks for telling me that lol. I think im gonna go ahead and order all the light modules and give it a try. Is it easy to take apart the console to replace the led light?
Unfortunately, Ice Blue wasn't the best choice if you were only going to have one color available. I wonder what Ford's logic was behind removing the color options, aside from it being cheaper for them?
Additionally, the 2017 models had the door pockets automatically turn red if the door was open with the engine running...to act as a warning lamp.
Not sure about that... I've had Ice Blue as my chosen color in my 2016 since January 2016.
With the newer models the lighting doesn't change to Red if a door is opened? I'll admit that's a cool feature.
I have read through this forum and the the one provided in the forum. From what I can gather, you have to replace the ambient lighting and reprogram with the forscan to have the ability to change the colors? Sorry, I am kinda a newbie to Fords. Last one I had was a 99 F250. Back to the drawing board on all the mods you can do.
I'm 38 and prob haven't listened to a CD since college. I bought my 06 2500HD with 10 disc and I dont ever recall ever using it so to me it wasnt an issue, but on my 19 I was glad the 18 and prior forscan changes still allowed me to adjust color.
