Got it going. Used a battery charger while doing the forscan changes this time to avoid any voltage drops and got the changes to hold.
So these codes are the ones for the 2017 as well. Lots of good info in this thread and the f150 forum.
Hey, my 17 Lariat Value was doing the same as yours. Did you do anything special? My truck came with an LED under each front seat pre-installed. There is also a plug under the dash on each side.
When I first tried to make the changes in Forscan it said "vehicle conditions are incorrect and it won’t save". I tried again and it actually went thru and saved. Reset the BdyCM module and still no lights.
Very informative post, question though--I have a 2017 ford F150 with the xlt off road fx4 package with 302a. How can I tell if it is prewired?
Thanks
look under the back of the front seats for a lighting module and also drop the glove box and look for a black or grey 3 pin connector with a plug in it.
Help with ambient lighting not working with switch on.
Recently my ambient lights inside have quit working while the switch is on. If switch is off all lights work correctly and doors turn red when open. I am strumped, Thanks in advance.
I have noticed I do not have the pre lighting wiring on my 2017 F150 Super Crew 302a package. I am installing CL8Z-13E700-AA which they are wiring to a button and not my sync. Is there a way to add the under seat ambient and wire into the clz8 somehow?
its possible to add it on the value package. I'm currently adding it to mine. My body harness came pre wired for it. the console and door harness are missing the conectors. I just need the time to add the missing conectors. Look under the driver and passanger seat for a lighting module if one is present you truck may be pre wired. Another place to look is behind the glove box to the right it there may be a small back conector with a cap inside of it.
These are the part numbers for the lighting modules. Some of these parts have been discontinued so some of you 19 guys may be out of luck.
FL3Z-13C724-D left hand door front
FL3Z-13C724-E right hand door rear
FL3Z-14A318-Y right hand front
fL3Z-13C724-F left hand door rear
FL3Z-14A411-F right footwell front
FL3Z-14A318-Q left footwell lamp c
FL3Z-14A318-L front seat passenger
FL3Z-14A318-N front seat driver
HC3Z-14A318-E cup holder light
These are the changes i made in forscan to enable it on my lariat value package.

It worked when i had only one light. I think you may have to do a reset on the bcm with forscan.

Any thoughts?
have you found anything out on this I'm going through the same issue. I have looking to see if the lights have to be all in before they work

I have tried that I have both plug under the dashboard and both lights under the seats. I ordered the rest of the hardware. If you have any ideas that would help me
Does anyone who has done this in the doors have the schematics? I plan to do it but want to know which pin in the door connector I need to populate.
Also I noticed earlier in the thread someone tapped into the ground wire in the door connector, but couldn’t you just ground these lights anywhere on the metal in the door?

You could ground them that way but its not right and you may have issues. i pretty sure that there isn't any thing connecting the doors to ground and all grounds terminate in the door harness. So if you do do it that way you will be grounding through the hindges.
Ground makes sense now. For some reason I thought there were ground straps on the door.
does anyone have a list of the 2019 part numbers for the ice blue only lights? A full set of RGB lights is up to almost $350, so wanted to see how much I could save with fixed color.
Has anyone seen any info getting this to work on a 2022 Lariat value with Sync 4? I started to try this with the under seat lights since I had those connectors pre wired. No luck with any of the Forscan changes or getting the lights to work. I also do not have any of the connectors behind the dash or glove. I probably should just abandon this and get a third party kit if desired.
Note, Forscan fails to write because first states "bad checksum" and if continue "failed to write, bad config".

When you guys say these are the changes in to make in forscan to enable it so I go under bdyCM module configuration (as built) and change them on the list?? What do the x's stand for? Does that mean just leave what's there alone and only change what numbers are listed below that are different??, or do I actually put the x's in place of the 0's? As you can tell I'm new at this but have done all the rest of the mods on my 22 platinum just need to turn on the multi color lighting now for it to work. Thanks so much for any help 7D0-01-02 xx 0B xx xx xx xx 726-31-01 xx 02 xx xx xx xx 726-39-01 xx xx xx 01 xx xx
