there 1 in the apim and the other 2 are in the bcm. Once you changes those addresses in forscan (rember to save your original value for thoes addresses incase you want to change it back), the ambient light option will show up in the settings menu, you'll get the option to change colors in that menu, changing the color won't work but you'll be able to change the brightness by holding on one of the colors and sliding up or down.
I just tried this and the 2 bcm values were already what you had posted. The apim one I could change and it added the menu but the slider does not change the brightness unfortunately. I can move the slider but it does nothing. I know something controls the lights because when you shut off the ignition they ramp up and get nice and bright but when then ignition is on you can barely see them. Maybe I will call ford and see if there is some update I can do because the 20s are fixed color but you can change the brightness. Thanks for the help anyway!
It’s not ambient lighting but I added led lighting to the interior. Powered by the truck bed led. They come on when you open the door and fade off. I can turn them on or off with the truck bed light switch.
Unless you guys have to have control through the center stack screen, I'd recommend looking at F150LED's. They have ambient kits with a remote, that are way cheaper than OEM. If you buy two kits for 10 ledstrips, snd the LED sets for the cupholders, youll be way ahead. I bought a kit for my 2018 F150, and the same kit for my sons 2011. Should be going in soon. With the cab interiors being the same for the 2017+ Super Duties and F-150's, it's an easy fit.
I've been looking at these since my 2019 F250 Lariat is apparently just a glorified XLT. I guess Lariat Value model? My issues is I don't want to pay for all the weird disco, audio flashing/sync garbage. I just want basic, simple, no-frills ambient lighting. Change the brightness. If I can get blue lights, then I don't even need to change colors.

I added a blue LED to my ceiling console to better light up the lower center console.
Underside of headliner console. Note there is a dummy sensor on bottom left. My truck has the roof marker lights, so I tapped into the center one for my LED power. I drilled out the black insert and inserted the LED bulb assembly. I soldered up an LED with in-line resistor. I wrapped the end of the bulb in heat shrink to help form the beam. I hot glued the black piece back in I may switch the LED out to a red one with a higher OHM resistor to make it not so bright. THe blue does match the rest of my ambient lighting in the truck.
Although 19s are fixed I'm glad the forscan let me enable the color options on my 19. Also using 17 and 18s led modules.
Can you confirm the 2019 f150 XLT has ambient lighting option? Available through forscan? Is it prewired for the LEDs or do I need to add a while system?
I can't find the link that says this specifically.
Anybody done this on a 17 lariat value? When I try and make the changes in the body control module I get a fault saying the vehicle conditions are incorrect and it won’t save.

Any ideas?
i did it to mine but it has been over a year since i did it, the values your posted are the same one i used. Did it let you change the value in the apim? Maybe try creating a new profile or It might even be a problem with the version of forscan your on.

yea I was able to do the apim, which I believe is what adds the ambient lighting to the display? The other two wouldn’t take
I’ll have to look into the forscan version. I’ve never had an issue in the past
